Congrats to Dad and Dee, they made it to Mississippi!! The closing is over finally and all is well except a few minor details as usual but nothing major! Horray! Now comes the second round of hard work as far as unpacking and organizing where to put all the stuff that you had in just the right place before, Ha!! But I'll be there to help out if you guys want!! Hope the paper blinds work good until your real blinds are put up!
Our holiday weekend went well. We enjoyed all the family visiting and Mama Deb's wonderful Gumbo!! It was sooooooo good! We even had enough to freeze for a later date! The boys had great fun playing with their grandparents and aunt and uncles and even 2nd cuz Alexis joined us! Bryson put her to work playing in the pool, but they both enjoyed it! Even granny got a chance to pop in for just a little bit before work on Sunday! My mom in law bought me a few lantana plants. Thanks Deb!! I have never heard of them before but they look pretty with colorful flowers, I will plant them this weekend.
I bought the boys a new pool for the backyard with a slide. D loves it and B isnt' quite so sure about the slide part yet, but he'll learn quick I know.
TGTF- I'm glad tomorrow's Friday! It's been a short week at work but a long week at the same time if you know what I mean. Only one more week till the reunion for my Hubby. Should be interesting, I will know just a few people but introduced to many I'm sure.
We also started the dreaded Weight Watchers this past week. Not a bad deal considering I've already lost 4 lbs. Many more to go but we are doing good, it's not really that hard just need to do your planning of meals and eat small portions, but I'm finding lots of low point snacks, so I feel I can eat when I want(at least something) I'll keep you posted on our progress by a side link on my page. Wish us luck! We hope to lose faster and stay on it longer than the ole bro in law, who's always in competition with his bro...we'll show him who's the winner:)!!

Test Test..
I did it!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was a test to see if I could finally figure out how to put a video on here. I am so excited!! I feel so stupid because it makes sense but I was just trying the wrong thing, you know how it goes once you figure something out then you just have to say "duh" I should of known that. Anyway be cautioned I will be putting some videos on here now. I also have to figure out how to have access to all my download music. I got all my songs from the same place but for some reason only a few will be supported in my video program. Again, probably one of those easy things but not until I figure it out!!

Noah's Ark?
Not quite, but we sure seem to be having quite a few animals at our house. 2 mice, 1 snake, 1 bird nest with 4 eggs, 1 hummingbird trapped in garage(we helped him escape safely) and 1 birdnest with baby birds in it!(not sure how many yet). Yes, while cleaning out the garage with mom a hummingbird got trapped in our garage and couldn't figure out how to get out. So with many attempts I finally held a broom up to the bird and he landed on it!! I slowly walked with the hummingbird on the end of the broom until it was out of the garage and he flew away. HOW WEIRD! We do have a hummingbird feeder in the backyard so I guess he was just exploring and got lost. Then today I heard baby bird sounds coming from the front bushes. From through the dining room window I can barely see the nest and I saw a baby bird's head. Wow. And Yes, Susan that is a snake in my previously posted pics from the Nashville zoo, actually I think it was called an anaconda -------(don't want none unless you got buns hun) ha!! remember those lyrics??!! I would of died if I ever found anything like that in my yard!!
We had a great trip to Nashville. Stayed in a great Homewood suites with a almost full kitchen and seperate bedroom. It was great for the boys to go to bed and we could sit up in the next room and watch TV. D's photo op went great, I'll post more details when I get them. We then visited the Parthenon park (that building is absolutely gigantic) I'd love to go back when the museum is actually open. The park was beautiful too! Then we headed to the zoo. It was a really nice zoo and we got in free since we have a zoo pass here. The monkey's were great. They were singing or yelling(I don't know) at each other and it was very entertaining. Check out the monkey video here...

I still can't make the video appear directly on my blog yet so you just have to click on the above link for now.
The middle of the zoo had a giant playground that the boys loved. It says it can accomodate 1000 kids at one time!! I wouldn't want to be there to see that though:) We had a great trip and I'm looking forward to another trip back there soon to enjoy a little more of the city.
Getting ready for company here this weekend, the inlaws and the bro and sis in law. We'll enjoy hanging out, eating, drinking, and maybe a game of dominos or a movie.(rented of course). Finally got the garage organized(thanks mom) and I put new mulch in the flower beds. What a difference that makes!! Just a little more straightening up around here before the weekend and we're set to just relax and enjoy the weekend with family. Dad will miss the fesitivies by only a few days....he's closing on the 30th! I hope it all goes well, of course(sorry dad) there seems to always be little things that pop up at closing, but it will all work out and then you guys can move in yeah!!
Well going to watch American Idol(hubby already spoiled who won but I'll watch it anyway) GO JORDIN!!!! Then off to bed....

And then there were 4
Today was my boss's last day at work....interesting. I don't know how things will go from here. We will just have to take it one day at a time and see, but I have a feeling it won't be near as much fun around the water cooler anymore. I am still waiting to hear about the other job and submitted my online app for another position. So Monday I will be checking on all these other opportunities to see what may happen.
Going out to check on your house tomorrow Dad. I hope they have finished up alot of stuff so you can move by the end of the month. It would be pretty cool if it was while the rest of the family was here, you'd really have alot of moving in help that's for sure. I'll send pics after my visit out there. D has a morning haircut appt then I'll head out there before lunch. We are heading to Nashville tomorrow afternoon to stay the night and return sometime Sun. D will be doing a photo shoot for an advertising comp on Sunday so we are going to make it into a little family overnight getaway, should be fun...:)
The weather has been so wonderful here, 70's by day and 50-60's at night. It's like camping weather but I sure am having second thoughts about setting up tent in the backyard after the snake incident!!
Well for all those American Idol watchers--VOTE FOR JORDIN! I really hope Jordin wins, I normally don't vote but I will this week. I like Blake don't get me wrong and prob would buy his album but I like Jordin better and she's really improved throughout the show. I just love her bouncy, cheery attitude! sure she's only 17 and by the time she's 34 she will have calmed down but hey it's nice to remember those old younger years right?! :)
Well happy weekend to everyone and I'll chat more later!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO MY MOM!! HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO MY MOM IN LAW! Also Happy Mother's day to all the other mom's out there and all they do for their kids and families and loved ones! To be a mom is such a gift and I am thankful everyday for my two beautiful boys who I just simply love and adore! Words just can't explain how I feel to just watch them everyday into their own individual. Happy day! These are a few pics of some of my flowers I have grown!
Eggs
A bird has made a nest in one of our flower beds. I would of taken a pic of the mommy too, but she must of been on a shopping trip or something.. I'm not sure what type of bird it is but it's the kind that mostly walks around and is brown with a sort of white ring around the neck. When she returns I'll try to get a pic of her. The eggs look pretty cool I must say.
Dad is coming in town on Mon. He is coming to stay with us and check out the progress of their house being built. The boys will be happy to see him and Dee.
I still haven't heard anything on the job yet, I talked to the girl Fri and the office had a busy week and she said just to give her a few more days. So hopefully I will hear something soon.
Oh yeah, Hubby told me that he heard a real loud "boom" today while I was out. He ran outside to see what it was and saw a few of the neighbors gathered in one yard. Turns out the neighbor took his shot gun and shot a SNAKE! I know, I know, I know! I was just starting to get over my paranoia for snakes in our yard and then I hear this news! He said it looked to be as big around as his wrist, OMG! Well needless to say I'm very paranoid now again about the grass, flower beds, hose reels, drains, well you get the idea...just about everything outside:) I guess we might go buy some moth balls which are supposed to help keep snakes away!
Anyway, hope everyone has a great weekend!

Petunia's galore
I did not replant any flowers yet this season and low and behold my petunia's from last year regrew! The ground was totally empty, but I guess the roots were still there. I didn't know that petunias could do that. Of course they didn't regrow on the other side, but I just replanted some. They are much more plentiful than last year also. Pretty cool, saved a few bucks on flowers.
No word on my job interview yet, hopefully by Thurs. I think they are closed tomorrow so prob won't hear until at least Thurs. I'll call them if I don't hear anything.
Well we had a brand new experience this evening......... After bath time I was getting Bry dressed and didn't have any diapers upstairs, Hubby went down to get some and B was playing, well as I called him over to put on the diaper, we noticed a "poop ball" on the floor. Yuk, the little stinker squated and pooped right on the floor. We just broke into laughs, even though gross it was one of the things only a parent could laugh at! When I told him ("No No you pooped on the floor, you didn't have a diaper on!") he justed looked at me like.......what?? I always just poop when I want!! I have to say we've never had that experience before, streaming fountains--yes, but no poop balls on the floor. Anyway just had to share that story. Good thing I'm not scrapbooking anything current right now, that prob would of been a photo op! ??:(
Ha, anyway getting ready to watch American Idol, I'm not sure how it will go tonight. I totally loved Blake's song last week with the beat boxing. Jordin is my favorite, but hopefully she'll do alot better than last week, everyone is entitled to an off week.

Locks for love..
I DID IT!! I cut off 8-9 inches of my hair!! It was time, I wanted and needed a change. I feel great and really love my new do! The stylist is going to mail my hair to locks for love. Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under age 18 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. We meet a unique need for children by using donated hair to create the highest quality hair prosthetics. Most of the children helped by Locks of Love have lost their hair due to a medical condition called alopecia areata, which has no known cause or cure. The prostheses we provide help to restore their self-esteem and their confidence, enabling them to face the world and their peers.Maybe someone who needs hair will be able to have mine! I have been wanting to make a change for a few months and today I DID IT!! I can't wait to see how the boys react when they see me! My hubby said he likes it and I believe it(he had that glimmer in his eye) ha ha! If you want to make a change, just DO IT, you can always regrow your hair!

Freshened up the old resume..
Yes, I'm job hunting. Actually started on Friday and had an interview today. My current job is going downhill quickly. My current absolutely great boss has her last day next Friday and changes are already happening everyday and not really for the comfort of everyone else. The other main problem for myself is that now I am having to take call every week or every weekend with the help of one other girl. Up until now I have only had to take call when I had to cover for someone else...the point is... I am not going to take all the call!! Therefore, I'm job hunting. My interview went well today, it is right up my alley and all seems to be worth taking the job for. Now I just have to wait for them to offer it to me, my feelings are if I end up not liking it once I start there then I'll job hunt more. In the meantime I also heard back from another place that I might get on the payroll for PRN as a back up plan and work a day or two there. We'll see what happens, I'd love to put in my notice this week. Wish me luck!!
No more snakes around here yet, but I too (Kelly!) am very paranoid everytime I step into the garage, you never know if one will be in there, yuk!!!!!!!!
Next month we're going to Mobile for my hubby's 20 yr reunion! Can you believe it! Mine is only a couple more years from now and that's pretty scary! It should be fun, they are having a golf tourney one day and a social on Fri night. Then Sat is the family picnic so everyone can meet everyone else' fam and kids. Then adults only again on Sat night for the actual reunion party. Should be fun...think I can lose about 20 lbs by then?? Sure!! Yeah right, I guess they'll just have to meet the fat wife and two kids! HA HA I am looking forward to it though. Plus I get to see my best friend that's prego with number 3! She already has almost 3 yr old twins, so just one this time should be a breeze!!! Can't wait to see her, hubby and kids!!
Well that's about it for the moment....have a great night to all.

Who Knew?
Who knew that a mattress could also be a slide? We were waiting for mom to pick up the mattress and the boys decided to have some fun with it. Dont' you love the imagination of children?! Click on the link below to view the video. I haven't figured out how to get it directly on my blog yet but this will work for now.
