We had a very productive day today. It started out with D's last basketball game of the season. He played great and even got a "nothin' but net" shot! Whoo hoo! I was such a proud momma! Then we hurried home for a sandwich lunch and then Mike took D to his first soccer practice. I headed out the door with B and mom to go get D some school uniforms. It's tax free weekend and the store was closing in 1 1/2 hours and not open tomorrow. Needless to say the uniform shop was nothing short of a zoo as you can imagine. It was full to the hilt and we stood in line for over 45 minutes waiting to pay and it took that long for the logo to be put on the shirts. I knew it was going to be busy in there so at least I was in for a total shocker. So we got our shirts and even a fleece jacket tax free..I'm up for any discount possible! Then we went looking for B some soccer cleats. I told him that there was a 2-4 yr old league at the Y that I was going to sign him up for. He was so excited and must of asked me 100 times when we were going to get his soccer shoes. We went to two stores and they didn't have his size. I will have to keep looking but I did go by the Y and get him signed up. He is so happy and he was kicking the soccer ball all around the yard yesterday so he could "practice". Mike said the soccer coach was very impressed with D. He did so good and was the most attentive one there...according to daddy. He is actually on the same color team as last year which is kinda cool. Sports are going to be very interesting for him. He is left handed but seems to be able to do most sports with either hand or foot....he will be able to trick the other teams...hee hee.
Wow, it was so hot and humid here! whew!! I must have sweated out 10lbs working with our camping tents. We got our tents out and set them up to see what we have. We couldn't exactly remember what the tents were like. The boys really wanted to sleep in the tents outside tonight, but it's really too humid and hot. Plus, mommy is a little fraidy cat! I'm worried about all the possible outside creatures getting in the tent...eeekk! SO! The boys are sleeping in the tent in the den. They were so excited. Well let me refraise it...they are in the tent in the den at the moment. I am not quite sure they will actually go to sleep or stay in there all night, so we'll see what happens. I can hear them talking and giggling in there, it's cute. They normally sleep in their own rooms so I think it's also a treat for them to sleep in the same area together. But at least they seem to be content.
Tomorrow I have to go to the school orientation for new students. I am helping out as part of the PTO board. D found out what teacher he has and most importantly he was thrilled that his favorite friend is going to be in his class.
Well gotta run, the sleeping bag bandits are on the loose--toodles.
