2nd and 3rd!

B had his first TKD tournament this weekend. He did so good!! He did get a little nervous though just like the other kids but he was the youngest one there! I am so proud of him, he loves it sooooo much! He is practicing his kicks here.

Doesn't he look so cute in between the big kids!

He got a trophy and ribbon! He won 2nd place in forms and 3rd place in one-steps!

D had his soccer practice again and then the boys spent the day on Saturday with Daddy while I had two spa parties! It was so fun!

Also yesterday was our 12 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!! We actually celebrated on Friday night and had a nice evening out while the boys were at parents night out. I have such a wonderful loving husband and father to my children and I'm looking forward to many many more anniversaries and memories to come.

Only 4 more days and we are headed to DISNEY!! whoo hoo! I am very excited! The boys are so excited to be going to see Mickey!
Well back to my "to do's!" Toodles.
Also here is a video of my baby at the tourney!

What a great time

Apparently, when I make a post from my phone I am limited to the amount of text. Didn't know that so that's why my previous post was split up. Sorry about that.
We enjoyed a great Saturday afternoon at Beth and Mark's house. The guys headed down the street to a sunflower field. Wow, I didn't know how big the flowers really were!

We are going to dry out the flower and then boil the seeds to make our own sunflower seeds...hmmm...should be interesting.

The boys had a fabulous time picking things out of the garden!

D got the job of picking the watermelon. He could barely lift it into his bucket.

B really enjoyed the carrots. He told us before we even got there that he wanted to pick the carrots. Robin was a great helper too!

B's bucket was really getting full and heavy to carry. He had carrots, bell peppers, cantolope, and some green beans and jalapeno peppers.

D was amazed at the watermelon he picked. It tasted great! I let him taste it and he told me..."mmm that taste great even being from scratch!" It was too funny!

B loves watermelon and really enjoyed eating some fresh from the garden!

We had a great Saturday. Thanks Beth and Mark!! Her kids were sweetie's too, they helped keep my kids busy :-)
Today was beautiful weather. We took the bikes and headed to the park like I said earlier. The boys tired out a little fast but then enjoyed just playing on the playground.
I hope to get alot done the next three days. I am off till Thursday and it's time to play some catch up around here. So I'm going to make my big to do list and try to get it all marked off by Wednesday night, I hope I can do it! I have alot I want to get done!
Also, tomorrow is a scary day! It's day ONE of my training for the St. Jude's 1/2 marathon in December. YIKES!!!! Yes, you heard me right! I am going to attempt a 1/2 marathon. Some girls at work and I are going to do it together. We weren't going to start really training until after our 5K in September. But then we were talking to a girl who has run many 1/2's and even ran (really ran) a full marathon. She is starting her training on Monday. So I started thinking....I know I'm alot less in shape than her and I probably need even more training time than her. So I signed up officially to keep myself accountable and I'm going to start training tomorrow. Needless to say I'm going to have a good yummy dinner and ice cream to top it off just to get me started....hee hee. Hey I have to have my last meal! :-)
I can't find the pics or video at the moment, but Dev is riding his bike without training wheels now!! I can't remember if I posted that already but he is doing great! Although, he is really scaring mommy with the speed riding. He now thinks he can just ride as fast as he wants. He is not as good as he thinks and I'm scared for the wipeout! He is also doing really good at his soccer practice. He really enjoys all the running. It will be great because the boys are going to run in a race in October. He will run a 1/2 mile and B will run 100 yds. They start training in Sept. and have four training sessions before the race. They are happy about it because they always want to go running with me. This way they get to run their own race and get a shirt, goodies, and prizes. I think each child gets a medal!
B had his first soccer practice on Sat. He is in the kiddie kickers 2-4 yr olds. It was too cute. I do believe there was actually a 2 yr old out there. He was one of the better ones along with another kid. Some of the other kids didn't really want to be there I don't think. It was probably their first exposure to it, so they will prob come around my the next practice or so. Although, B did great and was so excited. And believe it or not there is even another kid on his team with the same name.

Well, I guess that's all for now. Toodles, have a good week!
gs from her garden! Pics to follow later. Toodles
We are headed to the park to ride bikes. It is such a beautiful day. We had a great time at Beth's house yesterday. The boys enjoyed picking lots of thin

Ok Ok OK

We have had some great happenings lately! D graduated from preK and participated in the ceremony at the daycare. It was adorable!! He has been there since he was 1 yr old. They had a short slide show of younger pics of kids that had been there from babies. When they showed a pic of D when he was about one with his adorable fro' it definetely brought tears to mommy's eyes! He was adorable and looked great in his favorite color!

Now he's off to Kindergarten! Wow, where has the time gone? I just can't believe it! He is such a wonderful, caring, well mannered, loving, playful and energetic love of my life! Say cheese!

My other most wonderful little man is doing so great in TKD! He really really enjoys it and is doing so well in the 6-10 yr old class, and only 3! I am so proud of him!

He participated in his first official belt testing and he did all his movements and everything required in front of all the spectators all by himself!! He was the only one that did his all by himself without any other kids out there with him! Wow! He was like a little natural out there and who knew so many people were watching him....he sure didn't! Congrats little B!! Had a great sunday lunch with Dad for his birthday and the boys made sure to help him eat his cake!

Well I hope to get much better at getting back on here with pics and video. Things are going well, just busy.
D has soccer practice this weekend and B has his first soccer practice in the 2-4 yr old league. It should be alot of fun!
I have never seen this before! My friend Beth cut these from her garden. Fresh home grown okra! Wow, they were so big and the plants were over 6ft tall! I cut them up and make homemade fried okra...yummy!! Still have a few left and will probably just cook them on the stove with some stewed tomatoes. She also gave us green beans, cucumbers and some yum yum homemade dill and bread n' butter pickles. The boys just absolutely loved the pickles! Especially B, he's a pickle lover anyway so he really enjoyed them. THANKS BETH!

I am steadily getting my new home business going. I will be posting more about it on here soon. I am doing in-home and office spa sessions. It is WONDERFUL! I really enjoy it and things are starting to really get going! I am excited! It's a great opportunity and it's totally fun to do, so it's not like work at all! Who knows what might happen..... anyway...more to come later.

Only 2 more weeks and we are headed to Disney! Whoo hoo!! The boys are very excited to see Mickey again! It's really nice because we are flying and got great cheap flights, so you can't beat that! Disney....we'll be seeing you soon!!

That's about all for now. Gotta run and finish some other "to do's". Toodles. Happy week to all!

Productive

We had a very productive day today. It started out with D's last basketball game of the season. He played great and even got a "nothin' but net" shot! Whoo hoo! I was such a proud momma! Then we hurried home for a sandwich lunch and then Mike took D to his first soccer practice. I headed out the door with B and mom to go get D some school uniforms. It's tax free weekend and the store was closing in 1 1/2 hours and not open tomorrow. Needless to say the uniform shop was nothing short of a zoo as you can imagine. It was full to the hilt and we stood in line for over 45 minutes waiting to pay and it took that long for the logo to be put on the shirts. I knew it was going to be busy in there so at least I was in for a total shocker. So we got our shirts and even a fleece jacket tax free..I'm up for any discount possible! Then we went looking for B some soccer cleats. I told him that there was a 2-4 yr old league at the Y that I was going to sign him up for. He was so excited and must of asked me 100 times when we were going to get his soccer shoes. We went to two stores and they didn't have his size. I will have to keep looking but I did go by the Y and get him signed up. He is so happy and he was kicking the soccer ball all around the yard yesterday so he could "practice". Mike said the soccer coach was very impressed with D. He did so good and was the most attentive one there...according to daddy. He is actually on the same color team as last year which is kinda cool. Sports are going to be very interesting for him. He is left handed but seems to be able to do most sports with either hand or foot....he will be able to trick the other teams...hee hee.
Wow, it was so hot and humid here! whew!! I must have sweated out 10lbs working with our camping tents. We got our tents out and set them up to see what we have. We couldn't exactly remember what the tents were like. The boys really wanted to sleep in the tents outside tonight, but it's really too humid and hot. Plus, mommy is a little fraidy cat! I'm worried about all the possible outside creatures getting in the tent...eeekk! SO! The boys are sleeping in the tent in the den. They were so excited. Well let me refraise it...they are in the tent in the den at the moment. I am not quite sure they will actually go to sleep or stay in there all night, so we'll see what happens. I can hear them talking and giggling in there, it's cute. They normally sleep in their own rooms so I think it's also a treat for them to sleep in the same area together. But at least they seem to be content.
Tomorrow I have to go to the school orientation for new students. I am helping out as part of the PTO board. D found out what teacher he has and most importantly he was thrilled that his favorite friend is going to be in his class.
Well gotta run, the sleeping bag bandits are on the loose--toodles.

We all do!!

We all love Friday's don't we!! It's been a good week around here. Last night B had TKD practice and D had his last Basketball practice. They both have improved so much! D's last bball game is on Sat. and also his first soccer practice for the fall. I am also thinking of signing B up for soccer too for the fall. I picked up a flyer yesterday from the Y for a 2-4 league. It would probably be pretty cute!! I gave him a choice between soccer and tball and he picked soccer.
Well back to school on Monday! I am heading shopping this weekend. It's tax free weekend here for clothes and school supplies so I have waited till the last weekend. (normally don't wait due to the crowds!) I'm sure it's going to be pretty crazy in the stores. I am going to try to beat part of the rush and go at lunch to get the school supplies and then go tomorrow for the uniforms.
I hope the weather stays nice this weekend so that we can enjoy our last weekend of summer! I can't believe only 1 more yr and my little baby boy will be going to preK himself. Wow.....sniff sniff!
Anyway, happy friday to all!
I will try to get some pics and videos posted this weekend. I have some cute ones to share!

Long time

My Luau turned out OK except for the rain and I had to cancel the waterslide. My neice came looking adorable! She even did some dancing for us. I'll try to post the video... The kids and adults got to play outside since the sun came out. We even got the slip n slide out and the kids got to play in the mudslide...the yard was very muddy but they didn't mind. I made my little beach bear banana pudding too!
I told everyone there would be prized for best dressed guy and girl.
This is our BEST DRESSED GIRL!! My great friend Beth!

Our BEST DRESSED GUY was my sister's boyfriend!! He did GREAT! I gave both of them scratch off lottery tickets as their prize. Beth won $10 but poor Buckey didn't win any money. Maybe next time! He definetely had the most spirit among the guys!
He even spiced up his costume a bit at the end! whoo hoo!!

And posed with the boys! It was great!

I was able to get all the girls together for a pic, but didn't get one of all the guys..go figure.
I think everyone enjoyed themselves!
Last night D had his preK graduation. It was adorable and yes mommy cried!! He looked so cute and they did a slide show of pics of the kids. He has been there since he was 1 yr old and then he went to preK but then back to the daycare for his summer day camp. They included some of his youngest pics in the slide show and those really got me! He's growing up!! In just a few days he will be off to Kindergarten! It seems like just yesterday that we were taking him to PreK at the big boy school!
They did some really cute songs and this one he wore shades! My Cool Dude!

And of course the cap n gown! ADORABLE!! My baby boy is headed off to Kindergarten!! Wow!

Well that's about all from here. Much more of the ususal happenings also. We are very excited that B will be testing for his yellow belt next week in TKD! I will def have pics to post! Well gotta run I hear possible destruction in the next room! Toodles!!
