Wednesday ramblings

Tball last night went really well. Granny showed up to watch and got to see D field a ball at shortstop and throw it to 1st base!! Well done my D!! He also hit two pretty good balls when he was up to bat too. I can tell the boys on the team are getting the hang of the game a little better now. The team we played was too cute...everytime a ball was hit... the whole team ran to get the one ball. It was so cute!! B was good for the most part. I say most part because about half way into the game he was running around and stopped because his pants were starting to fall down alittle (even though they are size 18 mo). He then looked right at me and pulled his pants down to the ground!!! I bolted over to him and yanked them up hoping too many people didn't see!! I was in shock and laughing inside while pulling them up. He couldn't see me laughing of course but I was in shock. I don't know exactly what made him do that except that he was trying to be funny. I pretty much didn't make a fuss of it to him in hopes that he will forget about it and not do it again. We'll see! I still couldn't believe it though and it was funny I have to say. At least he did have a pull up on and his jacket hung long enough to cover that too. What an adventure!

Oh yeah..on the way to the game the boys wanted to bring a snack. They love my ranch or cheddar flavored mini rice cakes. So I put them in snack bags and we headed to the game. They snacked on them on the way. I said something to them about their "crackers". B says to me "they're not crackers!" I said " they aren't? what are they?" He firmly says "a special treat!". I loved it!! They did pick these out of the pantry as their after dinner treat! Too funny! I'm sure in a few years they won't call them "special treats" but for now i'll take it!!

Still traumatized after my dental appt yesterday. It was just a consult but the words were terrible! I'll probably update on that later. For now, gotta go.

Finally...I scrapped!

Yes...I actually did some LO's today. I am so excited. It puts me just a little bit closer to finishing B's baby book. Only 6 more months left till his one year birthday. Yes, I know I'm quite behind since he's 2 1/2 now but at least I'm chugging along determined to finish it. I am only doing his baby book up to one year like I did D. Then I'll decide what to do next.

I got a dental update from the orthodontist today...I'll have to post that another time. I'm still pretty upset about what the results are.....so another day I'll give the update.

Back to the good stuff. D has another tball game tonight. The weather is a little cool, but should be really nice to sit and watch the game. Our wonderful neighbors were cleaning out their garage and gave us a bat and two gloves ( a right and a left...how perfect!) D seems to be batting much better with their bat. The bat is a little heavier but it's a little longer too. I think it's the way the weight is spread out or something...not sure. I'm gonna let him try it out tonight at the game. He has been hitting right handed, but this weekend automatically lined up left handed to bat. I'm guessing he's gonna be a switch hitter.... :)

Here's a few of my layouts from today.

This one I did buy pre-made from Michael's and just put my pics in. Much more detail than I usually put on my pages. I don't have that much creative juices.

This is one of my most favorite pics!!

Well gotta go make dinner before the game. Toodles.

'Bout time

So we finally got out D's bike. I bought it for him at a garage sale for $2 about 2 or so years ago. We finally got some training wheels for it and let him ride. He was wobbly at first and very cautious. Now he is already a pro and rides it constantly!

B was busy driving him "mote contol car" He likes it alot!

Raining today. Not too much happening here. Just some cleaning and trying to reorg the garage again. Maybe one day we'll finally get it organized.

Some good pics and not so good news

Just a few pics of the boys playing their own version of kickball. Literally, just kick the ball.

My boys love dirt and water: MUD!

Just messing around with a few settings on my camera. I was trying to use the up close macro setting and it wouldn't focus right. But it did focus on the stop sign in the background. Whatever...turned out kinda neat anyway.

So my bad news...or at least in my mind that's for sure! So I went to the dreaded dentist because I had a small chip off of one of my molars around a filling. ( I don't like the dentist). So they scheduled me for a cleaning ( I don't like the dentist) to see what was going on and to clean my teeth. Well in the process of cleaning them the hygenist, who was very very nice by the way, she tells me that I have a loose tooth! "A WHAT???" wtf! I was like...what do you mean?? (I hate the dentist). So they take a whole mouth xray only to find out that I have 3 baby teeth still. I knew about one of them.. The other two I didn't know were baby teeth and one is loose!! The root is barely there and she said the tooth will fall out soon.....WHAT!!!!???? Are you kidding me....what does that mean????? She starts to tell me about a few options (none that I'm liking at all.....have you got the hint yet...I hate the dentist! So then the xray shows that I actually have 3 permanent teeth under the babies. Each tooth has a matching permanent one under it. Good news...at least to her and the dentist. I am none too thrilled at this moment. Also she tells me that I have all 4 wisdom teeth too. WHAT???!!! The news is only getting better....doesn't she remember that I was there really for a chipped tooth, not really for the cleaning or all this other news either!! She was very nice and played along well with my sarcasm. So... I go back in a few weeks to fix my filling and need to schedule with an orthodontist. I told her " look I barely came in here and now you expect me to go to a orthodonist for possible oral surgery??"" whatever!! Although, she had a good point. At least make the consult appt and let him go over what options there are so that when (huh? did she say when?) it falls out, then I'll have a plan. So as you can imagine I am constantly now paranoid that all of a sudden my tooth is going to fall out. It's in the front on bottom, it's like the vampire pointy one. You would be able to tell if I had a missing tooth there!! So, as I start to follow through and check my insurance I find out of course that I don't have orthodontic insurance and the office visit alone is going to cost $65 bucks...ouch! But I made an appt for next week. I will go to the appt, but I have to say that my plan at the moment is to do nothing. I'll just wait till it falls out and then proceed. I really don't think it will happen soon. The hygenist said it could be 2 days or 5 years. Yippee...I'm going for the 5 yr. thing.! I don't know really, but I do know that if a dentist freaks me out and I avoid them at all costs...then an orthodondist to possibly do some type of surgery to pull the permanent tooth up is not sitting well with me at all!! (ugh..I hate the dentist and orthodontist too) I'll will keep you posted on what happens. I have to say that my smile is good and my teeth are straight without any intervention up to this point in my life. Now they want to pull out three baby teeth and pull through three bigger permanent ones??? Doesn't sound well to me and there could be side effects to my straight teeth from this...but we'll see. I guess I won't do too much more guesswork until I talk to the dr. next week...ugh....yuk.....!!!!!

Well that's about all I have for now. Have a great night and don't worry about me...I'll just be worrying about my teeth....ha ha....

Hard to believe

Sometimes I can't believe how the time has flown by and how big my boys are getting. I try not to think of the days that they won't want to play with mommy anymore.... so for now I savor every moment.

Well after two failed attempts of blogger not uploading my photos..i quit for the evening. I had a few other photos to share, but it's not cooperating. I'll try again tomorrow. For now...have a great evening! My hubby will be home shortly after 3 days gone..yipee!!

A weekend full of fun

We had a wonderful weekend! The weather was gorgeous and we spent most of it outside!

We had the lovely time of babysitting for our adorable niece on Sat. so Tim and Amanda could get out a little. It was our first babysitting and it was great! A was such a great baby and she enjoyed looking at her cousins! D and B also loved "petting" her tummy and just smiling at her. She was wonderful although D did get a little jealous and just kept hugging me. It was so sweet!!

After nap time Aunt Jen came over and helped the boys fly kites. They liked it alot but the excitement ended pretty quickly and it was back to bike riding! The big boys spent the afternoon tweaking their RC cars and D had to get his out too. Like father...like son :) B wanted to join in too but the batteries were dead in his. He kept asking me when I was going to go to the "tore to get battrees" I finally did but he hasn't gotten a chance to drive his yet.

Sunday Mike and his bro spent most of the day gone to a RC race. I took the boys to a wonderful park. It's right next to the waterpark we enjoy but we've never played on the playground part. The boys had a super time! D loved the "digger" He probably spent 30 minutes just playing on it.

Recap....also D did really good last week at his first Tball game. His first time up to bat he hit one towards the pitcher off the tee. The coaches always pitch a few first and then they hit off the tee if they don't hit a pitch. The next time at bat, D hit a pitched ball!! Way to go!! I was such a proud mama!! He wasn't the only to do that but he was mmmmyyyyy boy and he did great!! Mommy and Daddy were so proud!!

More cruise pics

You can see the pics here.
We had a great time. The boys loved going to camp carnival and doing all the fun projects. Our excursion was wonderful. Mom, Mike and I all climbed rock walls, crossed a rope bridge (that was terrifying in my opinion) and then a wooden suspended bridge with some planks missing. Yikes, that really scared me too!! Then we climbed the stairs inside a 60 ft tower and repelled down. Wow, that was fun! The scariest part was getting ready to repel, once I got going I was OK. Congrats to mom for doing it all too, believe it or not she's scared of heights, but conquered some fears! Not to say she wasn't shaking in her boots, hee hee, but she did it. Oh yeah and then we did a short zip line. AFterwards Mike and I did some snorkeling. The guides pointed out a seahorse, a flounder fish that was camoflagued (sp?) in the sand and brought near to the surface a live conch in the shell. It was really neat! He then fed the fish and they were everywhere around us! Wow, if I would of known I would of bought an underwater camera. The fish were literally all around us and swimming within inches of my face, eek! But it was wonderful!!!!

We enjoyed spending such great family time on the cruise. The boys really enjoyed having their granny, mimi and gran J with them too!! By the last night of dining, B really had the routine down. Once we sat down he says "where's my bread!" It was too funny!

Well more updates later..

201

Well this is my 201 th blog post. Wow...I've done better at this than I thought. Yeah for me!
Here are a few quick pic peeks from our cruise and D's first tball game. More pics to come this weekend.

Our boat:

In our room on the ship...just arrived!!

My pirate boys after day 1 at Camp Carnival:

Yes, that's me at the top of the rock climbing tower! Sorry, didn't turn the pic before uploading.

Mike and Mom did this too....more pics later!

There was a shark attack too!! Hee hee

We saw this swimming along the pier as we were walking back to the ship. No, I don't think it's a shark, maybe a swordfish or something??

Sorry, didn't rotate this pic either, but gotta love my cutie!

Well that's all for now. Don't worry I have a ton more to post. Off to dinner with my hubby while the boys are at parents night out. I think we're headed to the local Mexican resturaunt for a margarita, salty chips with lots of salsa and a fattening enchilada dinner. Yum yum yum!!

We're back

We made it back from a wonderful trip. Although, I've spent the last few days with a terrible cold...yuk!! At least I didn't get it till we got back. I have lots of catching up to do and a bunch of pics to post once I'm feeling better. Hopefully by the weekend!

D has his first tball game tonight, I plan to have lots of cold meds on board so I can try to enjoy it! It's actually the second game since he missed the first while we were out of town. Oh well.. I can't wait to see him in his uniform and take lots of pics of course. I just hope I don't give the kiddies what I have!!

That's all for now..

Quitin' time

Yes, it's 12:45 am and it's quitin' time! I haven't liked any of the 20+ outfits I just tried on! With only 2 days till cruising that is a slight problem! Well, I have hope that tomorrow or should I say today will be different. I'll just start all over again and everything will be perfect right....rigghhhtt....RIGHT???!!!! ( Hey that's your cue to say...sure Tricia it will all be just perfect!) Am I kidding?? Anyway I did expect it to go better than this, but I'll try again later on today after my extreme calorie burning sleep tonight...hee hee!!

Toodles....

Wierd and a little spooky!

The other night I had a pretty scary dream. I dreamt that a house just totally exploded. All of a sudden the house in my dream literally exploded and there was nothing but rubble left. It really freaked me out and I told my husband about it the next morning. Today I was reading some news online and found this:

"Rescue workers found an 8-month-old girl alive this morning in the rubble of a house following an explosion that leveled the house Thursday night. Three adults were burned in the explosion, which occurred Thursday at 7:41 p.m. and is believed to have been caused by a buildup of propane in the basement of the house , said fire chief Kenny H .
The injured adult residents — two males and one female — were transported to the Regional Medical Center .
The house "was blown into a million pieces. anybody would have been lucky to be alive," Holbrook said."

When I read this I really freaked out! What a coincedence.! Or was it.....can I now dream the future...eekkk!! Just kidding. But it was really wierd and I called my hubby right away. He didn't seem to see the wierdness and similarity but to me it really freaked me out! How often do you have a dream about a house literally exploding into bits and then read it in the paper a few days later!! WIERD!!

Shake your groove baby boyz

Here's a few of my boyz groovin', B kept getting distracted by D in time for the cha cha ending but he does it really cute.

GROUP PHOTO: (stick your tongue out!!)

Rain and more rain

Yes, it's still raining here. We did have a little break but the ground is mush. D didn't have tball practice at all this week because of the soggy ground. I don't know if we'll have it Saturday either because they are calling for more rain today and tomorrow. So Monday eve we went to TKD since tball was cancelled. The instructor told everyone about a tournament coming up and encouraged all the young ones to attend. Trophies would be given to all that participate. D's eyes enlarged the size of dinner plates and he looked right at me through the window with a big grin... I knew what he was thinking " my very own Piston Cup!!!" He calls all trophies Piston cups. Unfortunately, I had to tell him "no" when he came running out to ask me if he could go. Luckily I have a good excuse, we'll be on a cruise ship! He is very excited about going on the "big boat" in only 6 more days. He is telling everyone. It doesn't matter what question you ask him the answer is the same. How was your day? " I am going on a big boat in six days" Did you eat all your lunch? " I am going on a big boat in six days" You get the idea. It's very cute. He asked me how many hours it was to the "big boat" I think it will be a 5-6 hour trip seeming like 20. I'm sure the constant "are we there yet" will about drive us nuts. I plan to get a few new movies for the car ride and some snacks of course.

Had a great dinner over at Dad's the other night. Dee's daughter, husband and son were in town to visit them. Dad made a chicken dish and cabbage with rice. It was all very good! The boys did better adjusting to the new dog this time. Maybe a few more times and they'll be ready to let him roam free. This dog doesn't even bark or bother anyone but the newness of him to them is what is scaring them I think. D did really well and B was working on it. But every time we tried to let the dog down B just screamed. So....more time needed apparently. ;)

Took the boys for haircuts also. They both started to get pretty shaggy. I love it when they get haircuts. It makes them look so different. B's hair was getting really curly, the longer the curlier. It was very cute, but he gets hot quickly so he needed to have a shorter haircut. He did really good and didn't even cry this time. He only whined when she was spritzing his hair with water before she cut it. She actually had to cut the sides this time. I think it's only the second time he got a side of the head haircut. He's grown the mohawk mostly kinda like D did. With only peach fuzz on the sides. After about 7 months old or so D's hair was growing like crazy. B not so much. Like I said, he's had a few haircuts in the past but only needed trimmed on the top. I think it's starting to get thicker and grow faster now. I'll have to take a post haircut pic to post. So adorable!

Mom and I headed to the track again last night. We went Mon night and walked a mile. I ran the last lap to see how my legs felt; pretty good. Mom did well too, she walked at a brisk pace the whole time. Last night I walked 1/2 mile and then ran 1/2 mile. I didn't want to over do it yet. Slowly building back up. I could feel a slight pain in the shins but not too bad. But our total distance ended up being two miles. At one point I could see Mom ahead and I was about a 1/2 lap away. I started to run again and figured I'd catch up to her with my extra lap from running. Next thing I look ahead and she was running...go mom! When we caught up at the end she wanted to go one more lap. That was great with me, so we started walking the last lap. Wait.....she started to run! Didn't she hear me that my legs were starting to hurt a little.....but.....I couldn't let my mom start running off and I keep walking right?! Goober....you can't let your mom out do you! So I ran some more anyway to catch her and then she walked the rest. Luckily my legs didn't really hurt too bad. I don't want to start back at square one with the shin splints, so I must slowly build back up. But anyway, it was kinda funny, my inner self not wanting to be seen walking when mom was running ;}

I hope to see my niece in the next day or two! I haven't seen her in about a week!! Getting my hair cut tonight so that it will be easy to maintain on the cruise. I am debating a pedicure. I really like getting them, but I might save the $$ and do it myself. I might need the $$ for a few drinks on the ship :) I'm going to spend the weekend finishing up my stuff for the consignment sale to drop off Monday and also start packing for the trip. The boys will be pretty easy, (pretty much same stuff that I packed about a month ago for Disney). Then I need to start trying on my stuff to pack. I always try every outfit on to make sure it fits right. I can easily fluctuate up and down so I must try all things on to ensure I don't end up with all tight clothes when I unpack on the trip. hee-hee. I'm hoping things will fit nicely for the trip. The scale has dipped a little but I am feeling more of a difference in my daily clothes than what the scale shows, so I'm hoping for the best when I pull out the short sleeve shirts, capris and maybe daringly a skort or two....

One more day of work and then 11 days off...YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
