Jumping, rolling and more

I got a few pics and some video from Bry's class tonight. Wow, I am so happy to see him enjoying something so much!! The pics are kinda blurry because I'm up in a room watching behind some plexy glass so I had to turn my flash off. But you can get the point. Here he is working on his handstand, it's not his best but he has improved so much from when we first started!

Here he is trying to hold a pike type position on the bars, He did pretty good, but my camera was on slow mode without the flash, sorry.

These videos are fun. First he jumps over the roll thing, then the 2nd video is fast so watch closely, he jumps alot higher the 2nd time! great job!

This video is so funny!!! He does a backward roll and then something catches his eye...then.....LOL...just watch!! Too funny!! Glad I caught it on video!

Here they are supposed to vault up onto their feet and then do a forward roll. Well he skips the first part and does almost a real type vault...haha....at least for his level. I wasn't sure when he was going to go, so there's a slight delay.

Wanted to share these! so fun!!! That's all for now.

Wondering

Have you been wondering what we've been up to since last Friday?
Well I had a great girls weekend with my STL girls that came for a visit. I was busy with them and my sweet hubby had the boys for the weekend.
The boys have been enjoying any good weather that we get. They have been practicing alot of basketball. Dev is doing really great on his team and having lots of fun. Here are a few at home action shots!
Nice form from Dev? huh? Ha....he was actually copying our friend Crystal's shooting style! LOL!

So it's been the usual busy week. I had a great lunch with my friend Beth on Monday. We even got to sample a drink in the making...haha.. one of the guys behind the bar came over and let us sample a new drink they are working on. It was pretty good! Then I did lots of shopping around for an "All about Dad" basket that I needed to get put together for Bry's class for a silent auction coming up. Then we headed to gymnastics. Wow...I have to say Bry is really loving it! He is doing awesome!
Last night we worked on the basket. I bowled earlier than my team so I could get home and get the basket going. I did pretty good on my scores, but found out my team lost last night...boo! A friend gave me a great idea of creating a "Daddy" to go with the basket display. So Dev drew the face and the boys colored him. It turned out pretty cute I have to say.

Of course the Daddy had to have a remote in his hand! LOL and the other hand is a bottle Koozie that says "Size Matters" with a Deer head on it....ha! Love it!

Here is our finished basket!! Voila!

Tonight Bry has a makeup gymnastics class from when we were on Spring Break. He is so excited to be able to go two night this week!
Tomorrow night I have a PTO board meeting. Hoping someone else would like to have my secretary position. It's not bad, but I've been it for 2 years and I'm fine with someone else taking it over. So hopefully there are some candidates.
I really need more time in a day! I have so many projects I want to get done around the house, but feel like I just don't have any time! Argh!! Also need to work on those flower beds outside but the weather hasn't been cooperating.
Dev has another basketball game this Sat.  Then later looking forward to some friends coming over for a cookout. I think the weather is suppposed to be nice, so we can enjoy the weather while grilling out! The boys keep wanting to put the pool up in the yard. Not warm enough yet!! I did schedule their swim lessons for the summer already. The same girl that did such a great job last summer sent out her schedule. So I signed them up for another week of lessons. She was awesome and they learned so much in one short week, it was amazing!
Our summer plans are filling up quickly. It's going to be a fun busy summer. Also have my 20 yr reunion this summer...eekk!! I think I will go. With FB I've already seen what everyone is up to. But there are a select few people that I'd love to see, so we'll probably go. An excuse for a road trip to the beach is always good!

Well I think that's pretty the sum of our week. Toodles for now!

okey dokey

here ya go! lots and lots of fun!!!

now you can see our pics!!

click the our pics above to view them.

enjoy!

Are you ready?

Ok hopefully by the time I'm done typing this the upload will be complete. All 310 pics uploaded from our trip and I didn't upload ALL of them...hee hee...I love taking pics.
It's been a good week. Getting back into the swing of things with school, work, and all our other commitments. Bowling went pretty good Tuesday night. Our team is actually tied for 2nd place! What?? Not sure if that will last or not, but not too bad considering we can't bowl! Ha ha....
Full weekend ahead....I have girlfriends coming in town from STL to visit. Dev has a basketball game Sat. and a birthday party to go to on Sunday. The weather has been kinda cool and my allergies are kicking! yuk! I think I need to live in Orlando...no problems while we were there!! What a great time!! Dev drew the cutest picture to send to the girls. I'll have to add that at the end of this post. He is a pretty good artist when he takes him time.
Started back running this week. Finally! After almost a month off sinc the 1/2 marathon. I only ran once this week, but plan to go back to the 4-5 days a week routine next week. Just have to make the time in my schedule to do it. That's why the lunchtime runs work so well. I don't have any excuses then.
Ugh, the smoke detector keeps beeping, the battery needs changed! Mike is working out so I have to wait till he's done to get up there and fix it...how annoying it is! The beeps are getting more frequent too,,,LOL....
What else....boys had student/parent/teacher conferences today at school. High flying marks and comments for both boys. I didn't get to go since I had to work, but Mike said he left a very proud Daddy. Both boys teachers had all good things to say about them and that they were good boys and doing great with all their work. When he asked Dev's teacher about any improvements...her only comment was that she didn't really have anything except for him to watch out talking with his buddies during school work time. Wow, that's pretty good in my book! I am so proud of both of my boys for doing so good in school!!
Well that's about all I have at the moment...only 91 of the 310 uploaded so I'll return later with a link to view them. toodles for now.

Well

Let's just say.....AWESOME!!! That's my description of our vacation!!
I have lots of pics to share, but I can only post a few at the moment, so here ya go! It might seem like quite a few, but if you know me....I took a whole lot more!! Those will be downloaded and shared soon.
This was the first day we got to our resort, the boys couldn't wait to swim. We basically dropped our stuff off in the room and headed to the pool!

Fireworks over Magic Kingdom...so cool!

Thought this pic was so neat, Dev hula hooping in front of the castle.

Our great friends that joined us on our vacation. Such a great time!

This is the pool slide at our 2nd resort we checked into. The slide was so cool. I finally convinced Dev to go down it. But unfornately he only went twice because some mean kids at top made fun of him for having the swim vest on and he didn't want to go down it again, They are lucky he didn't tell me who it was!! Momma bird would of been on the hunt!!!!!!!

This is the tree of life at Animal Kingdom. Very awesome! Check out the animals carved into it.

We watched a very cool 3D bug show underneath the tree. How do you like the glasses?  :-)

Bry did so good. He wasn't afraid to get next to the characters this time. I even have a pic of him hugging goofy! wow!

Dev told Minnie that she was his favorite!

For fun!!

Well just a few pics to share right now. More to come later...toodles.

Did I tell ya....we had an AWESOME  time!! Thanks to our great friends for going with us!! It wouldn't of been the same without you!!!

3 more!

Three more days!
Wow, I'm going to have a whole suitcase packed with snacks! LOL!! Not to mention the snacks for the road trip. Ha! The boys have this eating habit when we go on trips...wonder where they got it from? Of course Mommy has a bag stuffed with goodies to eat the whole time! I also got a few car game ideas from a magazine too that I plan to try to get the boys to play.
So far looks like it will be in the 70's! yay! That is much better than the 40 and 50's we've been having here this week!

Of course I'm planning out our rides for each park. I have asked the boys if they want to ride space mountain. I told them it's a roller coaster in the DARK! Not sure if they can handle it, they are kinda scaredy cats, we'll play that one by ear. Really looking forward to Animal Kingdom since we haven't been there before. Actually, I'm looking forward to everything! LOL!

Also can't wait to see our great friends from STL!  It's going to be a blast! The boys are beyond excitement. We are into the usual routine of at least one of the boys getting in trouble at school the week before our vacation. This seems to happen everytime. I think they get so excited that they don't focus at school, we are catching on to this though. Maybe next time we won't tell them until it's the day before....if I can keep the secret! LOL! D has been getting in trouble for talking and not following directions. B has been great so far this week, knock on wood. I gave them both a bonus at the beginning of the week of $5 for the trip. If they don't get in trouble they get the whole amount, or if they get in trouble or lose stickers for talking at school they lose $$. B still has his whole amount but Dev has lost $2. The rule is that the $ cannot be made up either. They also have a piggy bank they have been saving some $ in for the trip. They will learn some budgeting on this trip.
I plan to try to start getting my clothes together tonight for the trip. I already have the boys stuff all picked out, just need to get it in the suitcases.
toodles for now.

Getting closer!

Almost!

You could say somebody is ready to see Mickey!! He's been pulling it around the house for days!

Lots of the usual going on around here. School, work, taekwondo, gymnastics, basketball, homework, cleaning, dinners, bowling, and what else??? Yes, getting lots of movies ready for the road trip! The boys are so very excited!!
More chatter later...toodles.

You knew I would!

So Dev's class celebrated Dr. Suess yesterday and talked about green eggs and ham. So guess what we had for breakfast? yes that's right! You knew I would right?!! ha! They thought it was really neat.

Didn't even realize I pulled the Dr. Suess plate out too until I put the egg on it! Too funny! Perfect!

Dev loved his breakfast, I think the green colored kinda freaked B out, he ended up eating the ham and a cereal bar...LOL!
Made for a fun morning anyway! I enjoy making special meals for the boys. Dev was excited about the special breakfast not knowing what it would be, and he didn't want to look at what I was making until it was ready! Cute!! Happy Friday!!
The boys have family fun night tonight at the school. It's kinda like a carnival with games, prizes, face painting, cake walk and food. Last year Dev was sick and couldn't go, so he is very excited to go tonight. I will be helping with the prize table most of the night.
Tomorrrow D has a basketball game and then??? who knows what for the weekend. We actually don't have any other plans. I still need to get the rest of the way unpacked from my trip and start thinking about our spring break trip!! 8 more days!!! oh yeah baby!! Otherwise I am planning on a relaxing do much of nothing weekend! Toodles!

Really cool!

I printed my pictures from the race today and found this perfect album!!

I also got the digital download option from my race photos. I really like alot of them actually. This one of the start line is so awesome! It obviously does not have me in the pic, but still awesome!

I am in this pic middle front just to the left (NOT far left!) :-) of girl in pink tank, I have on the purple top, black skirt/leggings, and white hat.

Here is my awesome close up shot! Yay!! Disney World!!

Now I'm getting close to the end of the race in Epcot.

Even closer to the finish line!! Here I come, the girl to my right is racing me! But she wins! Actually didn't even know she was there, I was only focused on the finish line!

Yay! Crossing the finish line!! My actual finish time by the chip timer ( a timing device hooked on my shoe to calculate actual start and finish) was 2:37. The clock is different because so many runners were there that we started in waves. So you can see that people started the race almost 35 minutes before I ever crossed the start line! I finished place # 5361 out of 13,090. Not too bad for this slow snail runner! I will take it. Also finished #955 out of 2188 in my age group. Again this snail pace runner will take it! :-)
It's funny because when the boys saw this pic and the video they wanted to know why I didn't high 5 Minnie & Mickey on the left. HA!! Mommy didn't even know they were there! Again....only focused on the finish line! It was funny! I truly didn't know they were even standing there until I saw the picture myself!

They also have two different angle shot videos of me crossing the finish line and one video of me coming down the ramp out of Cinderella's castle.....VERY COOL!!
just wanted to share my fun pictures!!

Where to start

First I want to recap on the boys TKD belt testing! They did so good and I wanted to share a few pics!

B was demonstrating a self defense move.

Now it's time for sparring.

Sparring each other.

yay! Promoted to the next belt! Way to go boys!

So...it was such a magical princess weekend! We had beautiful weather and so much fun! We headed to the expo on Friday for packet pickup.

I just love this glass running slipper! Yes we wore our tiaras to the expo. So many people asked about them, I might just have to set up a booth there next year just selling tiaras!!

We stopped to get our magic fairy dust for good luck!

Bippity Boppity Boo!

Mom's race was Saturday morning. We had to get there early.

Yay! She did it! and had a great time! There isn't an official count, but I think they said there were 5,000 participants in the Family 5K.

Then we spent the day walking around Epcot. It was the flower and garden festival so it was so pretty. They had so many characters carved in the flowers and bushes, it was amazing!

Then met back up at the Expo to meet my other girlfriends that were doing the race too. Of course I had to bring them tiaras too, they were so excited!

Ok, it's race morning....up at 3am and ready to head to the bus at 3:45am! We had to be on the bus no later than 4am!!

There were 13,091 finishers!! Wow! Here we are at the starting corrals..yes there were a few guys that ran in it too, maybe about 500. You can't even see the start line from here!

They shot off fireworks each time a corral started at the start line.

The fairy Godmother also gave each group a special wish.

We are about to start!!

This is my first pic, I obviously took it while I was running. I wasn't planning on really stopping.

This is a pic as we are starting to enter Magic Kingdom, blurry from my fast speed! Ha ha

The castle!! We ran through it, so awesome!

All done! We did it!!

All four of the Disney 1/2 marathon princesses!! Yippee!!

Love the medal!!

And of course we had to reward ourselves!!! YUMMO!

The race was awesome! It had a few hills at the end which was frustrating but lots of characters along the way. I didn't take any pics of them, but lots of people were stopping for photo ops. There were lots and lots of people decked out in costumes! I should of taken pics of some of them but didn't. It was a great fun weekend. Some of the best news....no injuries! I didn't have any blisters or chaffing problems like last time! whoo hoo! And I wasn't too sore to walk around Epcot and downtown Disney! Proud of myself and my girlfriends for a great race. I also improved my time by almost 20 min from last race! Happy about that, I'm still a snail slow runner but I improved. Also, it was sooooo crowded! I spent alot of time the first couple of miles and then again near the end trying to dodge around people and weave in and out to find a path so I could keep running. Also coming out of Cinderella's castle it was jam packed to a SLOW walk pace all the way down the walkway to bottom due to people posing for pics. I had to run with others in the grass off road alot just to keep a good pace, so considering that I could of been another 1/2 hour faster! ha ha...just kidding, but i'm sure it added a few minutes. But I don't care, I finished! I didn't have injuries and none of my other girlfriends had much more than some blisters so all in all we had a great Princess weekend!! yay!! I have more pics to share later probably in a link. Toodles to all for now!
