Oh happy day!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO US....HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO US........HAPPY 10 YEAR ANNNIIIIVVEERRSSAARRRRYYY TO US......
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today is our 10 yr anniversary! We are going to spend the day together, with a trip out to the casino's for lunch, maybe some shopping(i hope!) and then a few rounds on the slots! Wish us good luck to hit it big...ha ha! I don't usually have that luck except for last time when I won $200 bucks! A girl at work won 10K (yes, 10 thousand dollars!!) just the other day. Of course I have no idea how much she had to spend to win..
Today also means only one month till my baby D, now getting to be big D will 4 yrs old! wow, how time flies, I can't believe it! I look forward to having a little party for him, hopefully Mimi and Grandaddy J will be able to make it up for it!
Well off to spend the day with my honey of 10 yrs!!!Time does fly, it doesn't seem like it's been that long, it has been wonderful. He is a wonderful man, partner and daddy. I look forward to spending the rest of our hopefully long lives together!

Belt testing!

D had his belt testing tonight and did wonderful. He wasn't as timid as I thought he might be. He was so excited to get his new belt. B was happy too and wanted to join in the fun even though he is too little. He did give out a big TKD yell while everyone was quiet. He got a few giggles for that!

Mike did great too. We didn't get to stay for the whole testing, it was getting to late. But now he's only two belts away from black belt! Time for me to find time to get back in TKD so I can get my black belt too! When we quit we were only one belt away at our old school. You have to kinda regress a little at a new school, but the let you catch up pretty quickly! Congrats to my boyz!!!!

Check out our front door delivery..

Hey, look what was on my front door mat, two adorable bunnies. One was perched so sweetly on the doormat and the other was more on the defensive. They were so cute, they even let me take a few pics.. I tried not to scare them off because last year we had a baby bunny that got scared and ran from our flower bed to the neighbors back yard. Needless to say I cried like a baby...they have a golden retriever and he got the bunny and played and I think even ......well you get the idea. So I made an effort not to scare these off into forbidden territory!! Just had to post these adorable pics for you!

Happy 30th bday DAD!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD! Hee-hee, 30 huh? those were the days right?! Had a great birthday dinner with Dad , Dee and her mom, daughter and grandson, Jen and Bucky joined us also. Our camera taker must have already had a drink or two, but at least we are all in the picture!(barely). Mike and D weren't able to join us, Mike's grandad is in the hospital and they went down to Mobile to be with the family. I am on call (yet again!) so B and I were unable to join them, but we did get to spend time with Dad and the family, so that was good!

Finally got a few pics of the birds that perch and snack on the Black eyed Susan's outside my kitchen window. someone told me they were Finches, not sure though. Dad and Dee enjoyed them so much the bought some flowers for themselves, hopefully they might get a few birds too!

One of our tin foil barbs died! It happened right after I painted the kitchen a new color, he must not of liked the new paint! D hasn't even noticed yet, I am very suprised. I had to throw him in the pond though, he is too big to flush! I am worried about the other one now though, we have always had the two and I've been told they like to be in pairs, we'll see. I don't know the life expectancy of them, we've had these about 3 yrs. They were just babies when we got them and they grew quite big as you can see!!Well I think I might turn in for a early night, I am feeling a little under the weather, my sinuses are acting up. Happy weekend to everyone and again Hope you enjoyed your birthday Dad!

Painting.....????? Again...!!!!!

So everytime I do a paint project I always say I'll never paint again myself, that I'll hire someone(which we did 1 time and it was wonderful!). Well here I go again. I am in the process of repainting the kitchen. So this is how the story goes...Friday eve we spent part of the evening shopping. We have been wanting a new kitchen table for some time and also some bar stools for our island bar. Well we finally found both! The table (click this link to see the table)is nothing like I started out looking for. But I love it. It's black with chairs that have burgundy, gold and dark green stripes on the seats. The colors match our home colors well. I bought some new paint of the color we already have throughout the house to start doing some touch ups from the kiddie prints. Well also I had picked out a gold color(that I saw in a room at work) and I was going to repaint(ha) the bedroom. I had previously tried to pick a gold color and we ended up with French's mustard yellow in the bedroom. Well as it turns out I've decided to paint the color in the kitchen and it will go well with our new kitchen furniture. I will have to paint in sections due to my limited free time, but I'm excited believe it or not to be painting. I have only done some of the trim around the baseboards and door frames but the color is looking wonderful! I hope to have it done before the new table arrives in about 10 days or so. I am actually getting better at painting although I can't say it's one of my favorite things to do.

We enjoyed a nice weekend although the temps were in the 100's. Our date night went well with dinner at the Thai resturaunt, furniture shopping and browsing the book store before time to get the boys. Sat am I was up before the sun and headed to mom's for the yard sale. We sure had some early birds show up but the first customer spent $25, yippee! It went very well and we sold alot of stuff, I can't believe all the people that were out in the heat but hey we sold our stuff. We have decided to do one more this coming Sat. We had so much stuff that we didn't get it all out, so we'll do it again. MOM, I don't have any of your 35 cents either!! ha ha!! We made quite a bit of money, although mom was mad that I made almost twice as much as her. Hey, I sold alot of stuff!! :)

I spent the late afternoon watering all the thirsty plants. The boys love to help me, but get soaking wet in the process. But they didn't mind, seeing that it kept them cool. They are so cute going around and using their little watering cans to water the leaves and mostly grass and most of all their own shoes, but hey they are helping right!

Today we got up late, a little tired from the overeating of mexican takeout and two margaritas each! We packed up a picnic lunch and headed to the water park. This was daddy's first time to go with the boys. WE had a great time, it's wasnt' too hot as long as you were in the water occasionally. That place has become one of my favorites spots, and D loves that we take a picnic lunch. Everytime we get there he plays for only about 5 minutes and then he wants to eat his sandwich! It was alot of fun. Then home for naps, while I did the painting. It was a nice weekend just doing things here and there. Back to work tomorrow, which is another long story in itself.
Oh well, back to the last of the laundry and settling into my PJ's. Oh yeah, and Debi, I'm glad to know you're out there!! :)

Fun day out

Today we went to a new place that just opened by us. It's kinda like Chuck E Cheese, but since it's new we were the only ones there!! It was great, like our very own play place. D had a great time, he especially loved the race car game that we probably played about 10 times or more. We even played all 100 tokens that we had!! I thought surely we'd have about 50 left over, ha I should have known. It was alot of fun and D got to pick quite a few little toys with his tickets, we made sure to pick out the Bubba teeth too!!

The weather was a balmy 100 degrees too!!!! So we spent hardly a second more than necessary outside!

Thanks to Dad for the extra weight watchers books and stuff, I hope to buckle down seriously again next week, you know it's a rule that you can only start on Mondays!

Having a garage sale with mom on Sat. I hope it's only about 95 at 6am so we won't be too hot!! Ha ha, I think we have picked the possibly hottest weekend of the year so far to have a garage sale, but we'll see if anyone bears the heat for our junk, I mean goodies!!

Another date night tomorrow night. The school is having parents night out again, bless them! We won't be early birds this time! We are making plans for the entire evening, dinner prob at the great Thai place again, then some furniture shopping, and then to a movie I hope, not sure which one yet, but as little as we know what's even playing we'll prob just pick out of a hat. Happy weekend to everyone!!

My picks for the finale of so you think you can dance...........I think the final four will be Danny(of course that little cutie), Neil, Sabra( I love her name!!, she's great) and the final girl.... a toss up for me, maybe Lauren. She has really come out of her shell lately! The other girl, who's name has escaped me at the moment, she's starting to annoy me a little. So we'll see, I didn't vote, so I'll just wait till Monday and see the results....outta here!

I forgot all about it!

As I was going through the linen closet to seperate out things for potential garage sale or pass down baby items, I came across this beautiful quilt that Dee made for Bryson when he was born. I had forgot all about it! Shame on me! Of course as soon as I saw it I knew I had to put it on his bed. It goes well with his room decor also. Thanks again Dee and sorry I had forgotten about it, it got put up with alot of other blankets and got hidden away. But alas! I am now going to get great use out of it!!

Finally caught up!

So, little to my hubby's knowledge I went to Walgreens online and downloaded the 337 pics that I have taken and not printed since Christmas. What a relief that I am finally caught up, now just to put them in albums. He was not happy to see the boxes of "did we need all those printed?" pics on the table, but hey what's done is done right?! :) I have decided to be more selective of what I scrapbook in the future; if anything? Not sure yet, I just don't have the time and all alone is quite boring! Missing my scrappin' STL chics! If I could finish Bry's 1 yr book, it might be a miracle, considering I am at his 1st Christmas when he's 2 months old! Yikes,, but it's my mission to get it finished eventually.

Zaxby's chicken by us had Elmo up there for kids night. I decided to take the boys, B was pretty scared of Elmo in person but Dev was so happy to see him. I was prob the only parent there without my camera(shocker I know!) But I had left it in Mike's car and he went out of town with it:( I did manage to take a pic with my camera but not sure yet how to get it off of there, if I figure it out with my braniac hubby then I'll be sure to post it! But D is a little to observant my little almost OCD child. He wanted to know why Elmo had a zipper(it must be the little Elmo from TV.. he says) Then he is puzzled why Elmo can't close his mouth(you know, it's how the people see out!) I was afraid he'd see the eyes looking around, but thankly he did not. And as we were leaving, Elmo's furry feet had emerged one shoe! He saw a black shoe and was not happy that Elmo had shoes on(He doesn't wear shoes.. he says, Then he tells me that someone's daddy is in there!!) I just kinda shrugged it off and and away we went. When he told daddy the story of seeing Elmo he didn't mention all the quirks he observed so I guess they didn't harm his idea of Elmo just yet.......

My schedule at work has changed and boy does it have me confused! Needless to say I'm none too happy, I also have been having to take alot of call all of a sudden that the other's can't, it's not fun. In the scope of things, I left work at 3:45 today, picked up the boys and at 4:38 on our way home I get a call that I have to go in to work for a patient(EEEEEKKKKKKKK!) So I take the boys home and all the round trip get to work at 6pm and finally roll back into the garage at 7:15. Not the way I have wanted to spend the previous 2 1/2 hours that's for sure. And I have Sat and Sun to look forward too also. Hopefully things are going to be worked on and fixed soon at work, something has to change that's for sure!

I'm not sure what's up for the weekend with scorching temps with no outside activities in sight since we might melt you know, so we must be creative. We'll see what I can come up with to entertain the boys at home, since we cant' just take off somewhere since I'm on call !!UGH!!!!

Guess that's all for now..... Happy TGIF to everyone
