Nice little trip

D got to go on a fieldtrip to a blueberry patch today. Granny went along since I had to work. She did a great job of getting me some pics, but forgot to get one of her and him...next time Granny :-)

Both boys enjoyed eating them on the way home from school today, during dinner, and even after dinner! I do have to say that they tasted alot better than the ones we have bought at the store. I was under the impression the boys didn't like them, at least store bought ones. But they really loved these fresh picked!! Yum!!
Getting ready to watch Tivo'd SYTYCD and then it's time to start my packing for my girls cookie party this weekend!! yipee! Only 1 more day and I'm headed out of town. I told the boys that mommy was going out of town and they just laughed. Then B said to me kinda laughing " but you're not a daddy!" it was cute. I guess they figure only daddy's go out of town. :0)
The boys are having waterdays at the daycare weekly now and they are so excited. Today B had his day and he could bring a spray bottle too. Tomorrow is D's water day, lots of fun.
B is doing excellent in his TKD and I dound out the next youngest in the class with him is one year older than him! Way to go B!!! Still thinking about the gymnastics for him too, since he's totally flexible like gumby!!
D has basketball practice tomorrow and then a game on Sat. I'm sad I will miss his game but I think his Aunt Jen might come and watch.
I am exploring a new business venture also. Hmmm...we'll see. I will have more details to come at a later date.
Off to watch TV, do some snacking...ummm.. I mean packing...hee hee and then nighty nite!

Oh yeah

We had a great weekend. We started with a parent's night out on Friday and had a nice enjoyable dinner eating sushi, yum!
The weather has been very very hot, so we have been keeping cool in the water. The boys are loving going to the pool!

And when we don't make it up to the Y, then we break out our home pool. Although, I think the boys have outgrown this one, we might have to check into one a little larger. They still had alot of fun though.

We have one lonely cucumber growing right now on our plant. It's starting to get pretty big, but I'm not sure how big it will make it up to.

We have a few bell peppers growing also. I think they are about ready to pick. I thought I had planted some orange ones, but it's not quite looking that way.

We had a nice Father's day. We went by my dad's and visited for awhile. We enjoyed the morning with daddy and then he went off for a grown boys' day of racing remote control cars. Wish we could of spent the day with my father in law also. We have the blessing of three great fathers!!!
This will be short work week. I am getting everything together to head to St. Louis on Friday morning for my cookie party! I am so excited! It's going to be alot of fun!!
Well just wanted to post a short quick note. Now it's off to work on my to do list....toodles.

a little of it all

We had some terrible storms go through here on Friday. We got pretty lucky at our house. I was shocked to see our patio furniture practically sucked out into the yard almost. And I found several things from our back patio that ended up behind a house in the back of our cul de sac. They say a tornado touched down just a mile or so from our house!! There was damage that was alot worse not far from us. In fact our neighbor (that i found our stuff at their house) their sturdy wooden playset was destroyed, the adjoining fence and the neighbor next to them has no idea where their trampoline is??...Very scary! We were very lucky and we also were without power for about 24 hours. It came back on just in time on Sat. to finish up getting ready for my spa party!! Some people are still without power!!

Dev had his first basketball game on Sat. He did such a great job! It was so fun to watch all the kids play without much idea of how to do it :-). Dev did awesome though and even scored a basket from a pass during the game! Of course I was one proud momma!! He hadn't made a basket in any of his practices, except for an underhanded granny shot. So this was his first overhand basket and in a game....way to go my big boy!!

The Spa party was a blast!! Everyone cleansed their face and felt so fresh. Clean face, smooth hands and drinking margaritas!!

Everyone loved the lip treatment too!! Got milk?? NO! Just smooth lips! :-)
The head massager was a big hit also!! Whoo hoo..it felt so good!!

Mom was the lucky person to get an instant facelift on half her face. WOW!! I couldn't believe the before and after! I was so shocked and kept talking about it, and then forgot to get the pic!! ugh!! But trust me, it was very noticeable!!
I got the slip n slide out for the boys yesterday. Our trees provide us with such great privacy even on the corner lot now that they have grown pretty tall!

I just had to take this pic of the plumber bootie!! hee hee
We also had a visitor on our back screen on the patio this morning! Much better than some other animals that it could of been!

Better run and get dinner going! Toodles for now!!
Can't wait to try my homemade pickles from Beth tonight for dinner! yum!!

Flowers and Bball...the important stuff

Daddy and D got a little bball practice in before dinner. Tomorrow is D's 2nd basketball practice and they have their 1st game on Saturday I believe. I will have more pics to share from that!

If you refer to my previous post, these peppers are growing so fast I can't believe it. I mean they have practically doubled in size since the last pic!
My black eyed susan's are about to bloom and take over several areas of my flower beds! When they bloom I'll share a pic...wow! Who knew they would take over from a transplant!! Anyone need any?? ;-)

My flowers are all looking very pretty around the yard. My mind has drawn a blank at the moment on this one,but these also bloom in blue depending on the soil....i might think of it here soon....

I love my day lilies and I try not to ever buy the usual yellow ones. I love all the different colors!

Bry has moved up to the 6-10 yr old class in TKD!! Wow, he is doing so amazing for only being 3 yrs old! It just seems to come natural to him!! He was a little intimidated at first but then jumped right in and had mommy grinning from ear to ear the entire time!! Go my baby B!! I am not biased at all but he was one of the best ones in there....!!:-) :-0)
Well....My spa party in ON!! I am finally going to have it this Sat!! I am definetely in need of some relaxation and margaritas!! Happy hump day!

Just stuff

We had a visitor in the yard the other day. We always see them in the pond but this is the first time we have seen one in the yard. The boys were amazed.

Dev had a birthday party invite today and B went with us. It was one of those jump, bounce, slide, run till you drop parties. This was the later result! Shocker! He actually fell asleep on the couch while me and D were at the Urgent Care. Yes, Dev slammed his finger in the house door and had a huge knot pop up on his finger and kept crying that it hurt, so we went to check it out. All is well, no fracture seen, just a big boo boo.
Just had to share a pic of my new shoes.....LOVIN THEM! Even caused a compliment from the hubby today...whoo hoo!! :-)
Our little backyard container garden is growing far past my expectations. The plants were no taller than a finger when I planted them. We are getting close to having some bell pepper and some type of long pepper. I threw away the descriptions so now it will be a suprise.

Here is the start of our cucumbers...wow! I can't believe we might actually get some from the tiny two leaf plants I started with!!
Our two tomato plants are doing wonderful. One is cherry and the other is some sort of orange/yellow variety of the cherry type.
The boys got to pick their first ones today!! Proud gardeners!! But they refused to taste them. They are great tasting!
Had to reschedule my girls spa party since everyone had other plans. I am retrying one more time and if it doesn't work out then I'm done trying....oh well. The weather has been so very nice!! I am not sure what me and the boys are going to do tomorrow. Mike will be off racing all day...so I might take the boys to the park and pack a picnic lunch or something else....not sure yet.
I don't remember if I posted about it before but I'm going to STL to host a cookie swap party there like I had here last December. I am very excited! It is going to be so much fun! Three weeks till the big party, so I am steadily planning and getting prepared! I will have lots of pics to post! The theme is a luau/beach theme and I'm giving a prize for best dressed! I wonder how many will actually even dress the part?? We are also having a flip flop exchange with it so everyone will leave with a new pair of flip flops. I have found the cutest flip flop cookies that I am going to make!! You can check them out here!
That's all I can share about the party right now! More to come in a few weeks.
Well time to get the kiddos in the tub and nighty night......toodles.

Just a short one

Again, busy around here.
Took the boys to meet their swim teacher. She is very nice and I think they will do great in her class. Their class isn't until the mid of July so meanwhile we are going to try to get to the Y as much as possible before then so that they are acclimated to the water again. We took the boys Sunday and they did pretty good. They both were a little timid but did great with their water wings and got braver the longer we were in the pool. Then I took the boys by myself swimming again last night! Wow...it went so well. I have never taken both of them by myself. But I bought them the animal rings to go around their bodies and combined with the water wings they were swimming around like crazy. Even my little daredevil B was swimming like a pro with flotation devices..hee hee.
Took B on Tuesday to the Dr. for his chronic bloody noses. Taking after daddy as a child we suppose. Anyway, the dr. saw some very close to the skin and large blood vessels in his nose, and he put special medicine on them to burn them away. We will see how it works. B was such a big strong boy! He didn't even cry until the very end of one side and then the dr. decided not to proceed with the other and create more trauma. He said the other side wasn't that bad. So we will see how things go over the next few weeks, but hopefully it will help stop the nose bleeds.
D is adjusting well do his summer school and his old daycare. He still has some friends there so I think that has helped. It is sooooo nice for me to only have to drop off and pick up at one place.
I'm having a girls night spa party this Friday. It is kinda depressing because alot of people have cancelled and I'm hoping I end up with at least 4 or 5...yikes! Oh well.....lots of margaritas, heated neck wraps and snacks for the 4 of us!!
Work has been a nightmare! We got a new machine and are having LOTS of trouble with it and the installation proces.....NUFF SAID!! UGH!
Back to the low carb stuff! Trying to shed the 10+lbs I have put back on while enjoying every food item in sight! :-) yum!! But shorts season is here...so I better get back with it! Hubby and I did a 90 min Billy Blanks workout on Monday! Whew! It was alot of fun but definetely a hard workout! Didn't make it to the gym on Tuesday.. I got my hair did...rehighlighted chunky style and then B had his Dr.'s appt and then TKD that afternoon. Today I had best intentions and took my stuff to work with me. But I had such a hectic day and left work 30 min late with no lunch and then I had to get home and start on the evening routine. So I'm getting ready to go do a little weights and abs while catching up on some tivo shows.
So that's my week catch up. Toodles.
