It's shocking but true!

Shocking but true! I'm back early with another post!!! whoo hoo! First I wanted to share Dev's pic he drew in school of the Mayflower. Wow, I'm always impressed with his detail.

We went to breakfast with Santa this morning and the boys really enjoyed it. At first Dev didn't want to take a pic with Santa so Bry went solo.

They had several craft tables for the kids to visit. They decorated a bag and then got to fill it with goodies at different tables.

They also had several games. One was ring toss onto the reindeer, very cute!

They also made bracelets with Jesus charms, colored a puzzle to take home, got Christmas tattoos, and also got Reindeer food. After eating his doughnuts and doing a few games Dev decided to get his pic taken. We also won a raffle door prize, a very nice Christmas story book.

Mark appeared on our tree this morning holding one of the candy canes. Wonder where he'll be tomorrow morning??

Made these easy cinnamon tortilla Christmas tree chips for the boys. Very easy and tasty too.

Also made a homemade strawberry cake. The boys helped decorate it. I put a line down the center of the cake so each boy could decorate half of it. The line made it look kinda funny though....hee hee.

Taste time...Yummy!!

Toodles! :-)

It's that time again!

Mark the Elf has returned! The boys got to watch a movie on TV this year that shows what the Elf does at night when he flies back to the North Pole to talk to Santa. They totally enjoyed it! I'm excited about Mark returning. He picked a nice spot to start
his return sitting next to the boys picture with Santa.

We were so excited to have Daddy back after being gone for 6 days! We made him some welcome home cookies. My little bakers.

We made these from a recipe by Picky Palate. It is for a single serve portion. The batch makes one very large cookie or as you can see we made 6 smaller ones. (LOL, GLAD I READ THIS RIGHT AFTER POSTING TO CHECK IT, AS YOU CAN SEE I MADE 7 COOKIES, NOT 6....LOL)Perfect size batch, if you don't have them you can't eat them!! LOL!

For a snack for the boys today I tried to get creative. I made them rice crispy reindeers.

And I also attempted an igloo! Too funny!

Last weekend we went to the movies. We wanted to see the Imax Happy Feet 2, but when we got there the screen was having problems. We saw Puss in Boots. It was Ok, but I would of preferred to see Happy Feet. As we were leaving Bry posed with the chipmunks, can't wait for Chipwrecked the movie, looks like it is going to be pretty funny!

An interesting shopping experience! Too funny! No, we didn't buy it, just took pictures with it! I know, but had to have pics for FB and my blog, right?!

Tomorrow we are going to Breakfast with Santa at the school. It should be fun, then hoping to do some driving around after dinner to look at some Christmas lights. There is a house in the neighborhood beside us that has a fantabulous display! They even have it choreographed to music, what?! Very cool, I'm sure Mike was thinking for me to not get any ideas for the future...LOL.
Looking forward to next week, the boys have their school Christmas play.
What else?
I think that's all for now. Hope everyone has a great weekend! Toodles.

Such a great time!

We've had a great time the last 2 weeks. We had to make a turkey treat of course!!

Dev reconstructed his Turkey into the Mayflower!! LOL...can you see it??

Bry got creative too!!

Me and the boys headed back up to MS and spent about 4 days there visiting family and friends. It was good to see people and Mom cooked a great early Thanksgiving meal. We also loaded up the car with stuff to bring back. The most important of course was the Christmas tree!! Even after our 5 1/2 hour trip home the boys were anxious to put the tree up. We turned on the Christmas music and put it up! We were leaving the next day early and Daddy would be gone a few days so it was the perfect time!

Then we headed south to visit more family and friends. More good food too including fabulous gumbo!! Uncle Lewis gave the boys a violin lesson they did great!! I'm going to try to upload a video of it at the end of this blog post. There was a great turnout of family. Many people we hadn't seen in quite a few years. I can't believe I didn't take any pictures of the people....they got lucky this time!! ha ha..

Took the boys to the park today to work off all our eating! They had the park almost all to themselves for a little bit and then the crowd came.

Big LSU game today. (they won too!) We were sporting our new LSU car flag from Mimi and Gran J!

We happened upon this huge tree! And there are lots of lights set up. We will have to ride back by there at night!

This was hysterical!!! Even Santa cooks Gumbo in Baton Rouge!!!

Oh yeah, for the 2nd time the tooth fairy visited Dev while we were in Mobile. Look to your right of his front teeth, another tooth gone!!

Tonight was homemade banana splits! Yummo!! The boys loved them!

Tomorrow we're going to check out the zoo. The weather should be in the low 70's. Then we'll probably grab a redbox movie on the way home to watch with popcorn.
Hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving. We did!! We are so thankful for everyone in our lives and thankful for everyday with our blessed family! Toodles for now.

I think it uploaded ok. Enjoy.

A day out

Well the boys had a wonderful time tailgaiting. There were campers, food, purple and gold and lots of boys playing football all around.

When they weren't playing football they were inside the camper hanging out playing with Pokemon cards.

I think we were out there almost 7 hours. We didnt go to the game but told the boys maybe another day we would go to a game.
It was fun hanging out with a bunch of people and eating food. It felt almost back to normal for us. Great day.
Well that's a quick post for now, heading out to take Bry to a birthday part, and Dev is going to hang out with Daddy. Toodles.

New outlook

Well things are so funny how they happen. I interviewed for a seemingly great job and now find out the job hiring has put on hold. Boo, so I called today about another PRN job that I interviewed for and guess what?? That job is on hold too!! Whaat???? REallyy??? What are the chances. Those are the only two jobs prospects for me at the moment. But then thoughts came rushing in my head....wait.....this is meant to be! I get to be off and spend the holidays with my boys!! Enjoying holiday time and doing holiday stuff!! That's what I always wish for every Christmas is to have more time off at the holidays and get to spend more time with the boys while they are out on school break....so....Yay!! I finally get my wish!!! I'm not going to stress about it anymore, at least not until January. I'm going to enjoy this time off!
The boys have the whole week off for Thanksgiving so I get to plan stuff for us to do and not worry about taking days off from work!! Then, I am going to check at their school to see if they need help with any volunteer stuff. Then, it will Christmas time!! And I'll be off so that I can go to the dress rehearsal for their Christmas program! Best part of that is that I can take pics and video with a better view than I'm sure I'll get the night of the actual performance. I also see cookie baking and Christmas treats in our future...yum! I feel peaceful now and I'm looking forward to this holiday season unlike any I've ever had yet. I feel very thankful right now.
We are going to our first ever tailgaiting this weekend. Funny, even when we lived in STL we never tailgated for a game. A friend of Mike's has invited us to tailgate Sat. with them for the LSU game. We aren't fans of LSU at all...Bama all the way...but I know it will be something different that the boys will really enjoy. They will also have another little boy to play with. Bryson also gets to go to his first birthday party here on Sunday. Another day out of the house...yay! I like that we are having a chance to do some different fun things with the boys that will continue to help out transition.
Well just a little update. I'll be back with tailgaiting pics later this weekend. Toodles.

This and that and then some

So I'm going to post some random pics yay! This is from our surprise going away party!! Mardi Gras theme! It was so much fun!

The girls had us play games in honor of my games that I always have at my parties...hee hee..lots of fun!
And yes, I'm balloon enhanced...ha ha ha!

This is from a recent date night we had. We went to Mobile and Mike's parents watched the boys so we could go see Bill Cosby live. Cosby was great of course, unfortunately my sinues were acting up but still tried to enjoy myself.

A cake we had for Devin back on his birthday.

Group photo, I have to take these while the boys still let me!

Out of order but a pic of Dev from his bday party that we had right before we moved.

We went to Mobile to celebrate Bryson's birthday.

And a pic of his special bday breakfast.

I got to join the boys at their Halloween parties at school. It was alot of fun. Bry got to dig into a pumpkin for prizes. It had cooked noodles in it to make it feel gushy.

Yep Mummy Dev! hee hee

We went trick or treating at a coworker of Mike's house. The other little boy was a ninja just like B. Too cute!

yes another group photo of me and my boys. We were ready for the Bama game, but sadly they lost. They should of won, but missed multiple field goal attempts, but we had fun anyway.

Dev and I ran our 1st 5K race together., It was so much fun.

He got two medals!! One for finishing the race and the other for coming in 3rd in his age group...great job Dev!

Out of order again, but I thought this is a cute picture.

So that's a little of what we've been up to. The boys have Santa picture day at school tomorrow. Wow, Santa is starting early!! :-)

Really hoping I hear something about a job this week!!

A happy note...Mike ironed all the boys clothes for the week! YAAY!! That was a happy moment...I have to savor all the good ones!! :-))
Sad note....the food we wanted to order as take out tonight as our last hoorah before dieting tomorrow is closed....boo!!! Now what???? Not sure..... we don't have our same usual food places here that we frequented back at home so it's hard to figure out what is yummy to treat ourselves to. I'm sure we'll find something I guess, and then it's the big D word right before the holidays.

The boys are really into football this year. They have learned so much about the plays and what's going on. Bry wears his football helmet and jersey he got for his bday almost everyday and runs around playing football in the house. Very cute, although not sure I'd let him play real football.

The boys have started making a list for Santa. They looked through Toys R Us book and Target toy books we got in the mail. Whoa...I have to say....toys are so expensive! Or I should say the toys they put in those books are expensive...wowzers!! Santa's sleigh is likely to be pretty light this year.

On a sad note, Dev is big and old enough to be without his booster seat in the car...boo! The boys are growing up so big and so fast! But on a good note, they still want lots of hugs and kisses from Mom and Dad!! yay!! I'm trying to take as many as possible while I can.

Well that's my blog for now. This week will be a cranky week with us starting our diets and new exercise plan. But hopefully in two weeks we'll be feeling and looking much better yay! ha ha....anyway...toodles.

Alot but not really

So I haven't been blogging much. I know. For any of you on FB , I do post some pics on there. I haven't been blogging much because I just haven't felt like it. Kinda sad, things are so tangled right now and our life is in transition. Many great things have happened, but there are many things that haven't happened yet that are very stressful. I usually like to blog about happy and funny stuff and I have felt more of the opposite lately.
On a good note, my boys have both had birthdays and are a year older...wow!! They got accepted into our school of choice and are loving it and doing very well.

I'm waiting to hear about two different jobs that I've interviewed for. It gets pretty frustrating waiting for the call so that I can go to work and make the money we need. Our house still hasn't sold either. That is very stressful, I know the market is slow, but just praying someone will come along and need/want it soon! The holidays are coming up and I'm already bummed about it. Things are so different. I'm trying my best to keep good spirits and to keep things as usual as possible for the boys. They enjoyed trick or treating and are begging for candy daily...hee hee.....although I need to get rid of that stuff because i keep snacking on it while they are at school! Well just a short note, I'm still around, just not alot of fun stuff (in my opinion) to blog about. Hoping good news will come very soon and things will become alittle more normal!! Toodles.
