Only one more work day and were outta here!! Mickey Mouse here we come to cruise with you!! And...I'm off work for 10 days!! yahoo!!! The excitement is building around our house of course. I have already packed the boys suitcases and have mine sorta thrown together. I need to go back through mine and get all my coordinating accessories added. Also, need to go down the check list and make sure we have everything that we want to take. I bought the boys some disposable cameras so they can take their owns pics on the trip if they want to. We did that on our last trip, although I haven't developed them yet....ha!! Oh well, I guess after this trip I can take them ALL in and see what we got! Should be interesting!
The weather has been so much better for my lunchtime runs. I have been using a new app on my phone and it's pretty cool. My GPS watch won't work well on the trail that we run, but the phone does great. It keeps track of our distance, pace, overall time and approx calories burned. It's kinda neat to see how we do each day in comparison to the others.
OH MY!! This morning on the way to work on the interstate I saw a car enter the median and flip into the air and land upside down!! It was so scary! It happened right before my eyes with a car coming from the opposite direction. A few of us stopped to see if the person was OK or needed help. She was crawling out of the car as we got to her. I'm not sure how she did though, because that car was crushed at the steering wheel and dash and area where your legs are when you are driving! It's a miracle her legs weren't crushed. She had a few bumps and small cuts on her face and foot but that seemed all that we could tell. A police officer was quick on the scene and called for help. She seemed to be doing OK, just freaked out!! Then after I left I heard on the radio that the crash involved a police officer and that he was ok. I guess that's why he was on the scene so quick. I didn't see his car, so I'm not sure exactly what happened. Wow, I'm just glad she was OK and that she didnt' end up over on our side of the road!
The boys have open house at the school tonight. We get to meet with the teachers and see how they are doing after the first few weeks.
Oh yeah....milestone.....B got out in the carline this morning for school with D. I have been walking them in every morning so far this year. But they said they would do the car line this morning! What big boys!! Who knew the milestones would be so emotional!! I am very proud of them both! D told me I should call to check on Bry but I new he would be alright.
Well back to work for now. Toodles.

The week begins..
First I'll start with a recap from the weekend. Had the birthday dinner for Dad. It went very well and the Turkey he fried was delish!! I got the kids to pose for a pic. B jumped right in front of D right before the pic. So I told them we needed another one.
Well I guess B wasn't too happy by that as you can see on his face. ha ha ha.
The kids were loving the cupcakes too. Especially my niece! Isn't she adorable!
The boys put one candle on a cupcake and sang Happy Birthday and then helped blow out the candle. Over and over and over....they kept wanting me to light it again so they could take turns blowing it out.
Then Dev decided that since there was only one candle, then he had to give out the birthday spankings! So he asked how old Papa was and gave him every single spanking! It was so funny, he counted them all out and didn't stop till he was done. So, next year what will it be?? Candles or spankings?? ha ha! LOL!
Also got a few pics of Aunt Jen with the boys.
And crazy eyes!! He is really into making faces for the pics now!
So AGAIN!! I got a great bargain!! Sunday we went out to watch Daddy race for a little bit. And I saw another location of the store where I got all the great clearance birthday stuff for Dev. So I thought we'd go in and see if they had anything else I might want to get and see if B saw any themes he might like for his party. Well they had a small section with clearance Halloween costumes! So we started to check if there were any the boys wanted and if they had the right size. The costumes were marked to $5!! Wow, what a bargain! They were brand new costumes, just looked like most had been opened so you had to check and make sure all the pieces were inside before you bought it. Well we finally decided on costumes. Dev wanted Zorro and Bry wanted a Power Ranger. When they rang up Dev's costume....it rang up 50 cents!!!!!!! Seriously!!!!?? Can you believe it??? It must be his time for the number 50!! I couldn't believe it! I was hoping Bry's rung up for that too, but it rang up for $5 but that still is a great price!! The receipt said Zorro was originally 34.99 and the Power Ranger was 24.99. So at the bottom with the other party stuff I bought...total savings....$90!! Wow!! That is my favorite store!! ha ha....really though, I couldn't believe the 50 cents. Receipt said original 34.99 , clearance price $10 and then promo discount 9.50!! Wow a brand new Halloween costume for 50 cents!! Again I am a very happy shopper!! ha ha!!
Well after some swimming at the pool, then watching Daddy racing, then shopping for costumes and birthday supplies, and browsing another Halloween store.....sleepy boy!! Isn't he cute!!
I'm hoping this week goes by fast. We have soccer practices, school open houses, popcorn selling, dentist appts, hair appts, some TKD, washing clothes, packing for the trip and shopping for any last minute things we need for our trip! Whoo hoo, just praying the weather acts wonderful for us in the next week and 1/2!! The boys are so excited about flying and we get to spend some time with our cousins in Orlando the morning before our cruise! I might even run in a 5K while on our cruise. If I remember right from last time, I think they have a 5K run on the Disney private island the morning we dock there. I'll have to check it out. That would be kinda cool and help with my training for the women's 5K next month with mom. Or I might just sleep in, go to breakfast and then relax on the beach and swim in the beautiful water...hee hee....I really should do the run since I probably won't be doing any other running training while we are gone. We'll see.
Well better get going and get started on my to do list. Oh yeah...and a trip to the bank! We have been collecting coins in a jar for awhile and I decided to get them counted out for some spending money. So far, we have about $700!! wow....just have the pennies to get rolled up. But I'm happy with the new spending money. So yes, your spare change can really add up over time! Just throw it in a jar and save for a rainy day OR a cruise!! :-) :-)
Toodles for now!

Ahhhh, it's that day again!!
FRIDAY!! Whoo hoo!! I'm ready for the weekend. We've had a good week so far.
Both boys had soccer practice on Thursday night. Daddy's been practicing with them in the yard and even bought them both new soccer balls. Both boys enjoyed practice and did really good even though it was pretty hot. I'm hoping the boys do good today at school. The boys have been playing a demo game on daddy's PSP alot lately. It's a little guy made of yarn and you find things and go through different levels. It's only the demo version so they can't play past a certain point and you can't save different profiles. So I bought the game earlier this week. Hoping they do well all week at school and it will be a little gift for them. I know they will be excited. Especially B, he really loves the game. D likes it too but prefers a lego Batman game. But they both play the yarn guy game too. So it's been a good week so I'm excited to give them a goody prize tonight!
Having one of my good friends over tonight for a planning party. We are cohosting a Halloween girls brunch. It will probably have a witch theme, but Mike wasn't too happy about that....ha haa... I told him we wouldn't be casting any spells or anything, it's just for some Halloween fun. So we are going to get together tonight and do some planning and brainstorming. Yeah... a little fun girl time. Might have to try out my new Skinny Margarita mixer! :-)
I've also been gathering lots of ideas for my Cookie party in December! I'm excited about it already. I also have some new girls to invite so it's exciting. I'm deciding on my theme and a few new twists this year...not sure what it is, but I just love planning get togethers.
Speaking of....having Dad's bday celebration at my house tomorrow. He's actually bringing all the food. I guess he wanted to do some cooking even though he can't eat anything just yet due to the healing. But hoping he might can try something....might have to break out the blender and have turkey puree!! ha ha Dad!
But looking forward to the family time.
ONE!!!! YES ONE WEEK TILL OUR CRUISE!! Whoo hoo! I am so excited!!!! Counting down daily!!
Well that's about all for now....toodles and HAPPY FRIDAY!!

wow wee!!!!!!!!!
WOW, today I found a great unexpected bargain!! I was out and about and decided to go to the party store to look for some halloween decorations for a party I am planning. The party store I went to didn't even have their halloween stuff out yet! I was really suprised. So...the other day I asked D what kind of bday party he wanted and he told me Power Rangers. Since the store didn't have what I wanted I decided to browse and look for Power Rangers! Wow! You wont' believe this, the Power Rangers were the only decorations on clearance!! Things that were 5.99 were now $2 and stuff like that. So I decided to go ahead and get some plates and a few party favor items. When I got up to the register and the girl started ringing the stuff up I was in shock. Everything was ringing up for 50 cents!! Seriously!!?? So she totalled it all up that I had and it was only like $6!! I couldn't believe it. Then she told me to check over in the 50 cent bin that there was other stuff there too. Sure enough! I got some more things and even went back to the original isle to get more. Even though the stuff said clearance 2.99 or 2.00, everything was 50 cents!! This was my lucky day. So I headed to the register with another hand full of stuff totaling $7!! Wow!! Here is what I got....24 invites, 24 plates, 24 cups, 32 napkins, 2 water bottles, a watch, 8 mini frisbees, 8 bouncy balls, 24 paddle balls games, a birthday banner, 6 12 inch balloons, 2 tablecloths, and 12 mini notepads. Wow, I think that's all! So all that for only $13!! Awesome!!! Plus to make me happier, when I got home and looked at the receipt it had total savings on the bottom. Between the two receipts my total savings was.......drumroll......$74 !! Can you believe it? And really it was more because the receipt had some things priced at 2.61 original and I know that was the clearance price not the original price and now I got it for 50 cents!! Anyway, I'm very excited about it. He can't change his mind now, it's going to be a Power Ranger birthday!!
B came home with his "me" doll project. I remember when D had to do this for preK. It's alot of fun to work with them with what they want to put on the doll. B was kinda upset about the hair though. I only had the brown puff balls and he wanted yarn for hair. Sorry, I didn't have any yarn... :-(
But we now have a mini B Doll!
He told me what color shoes and clothes he wanted. He helped me glue it all on and he also drew his nose and mouth. Too cute! I then gave him a choice of holding cars to play with or a soccer ball on his foot. You see what he chose.
Well that's about all for now, except...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!

Cold!
Well it's not actually cold but 78 sure does feel sooooooo much better than 104+ every single day! It felt much better to finally run again. I only ran 2 days early last week due to the heat. It almost felt like spring this morning in comparison! I think it's supposed to only be in the high 90's this week so that's much better. D had his 1st soccer practice on Sat. The coach and a few parents commented on him being really good and fast! Ha...I told them he loves to run! Not sure how the season will go yet, but he's very excited about playing. He even scored a goal in the scrimage at the end of practice! Way to go D!!
Well the heat kept us pretty much indoors this weekend. But we did find a bag of balloons that you make into animals. I blew up all 22 of them!! Luckily they come with a special air pump. I can't believe I didn't pop any either! wow! The boys liked their creations. I made B a dog and a giraffe, you see them right?? ha ha
I am very excited that we only have 2 weeks till our Disney cruise and our 13 year anniversary!! yeah!! The boys are so excited about the trip!! We are too! The boys will miss a few days of school, but we got this cruise for free and had limited options on the dates. I hope the teachers don't mind too much, especially D's!
Well time to go make some lunch and day dream about the cruise!!! Toodles!

More dogs for D. Those were pretty easy.
I tried to make a guitar. This is D's impression of rockband with his balloon air guitar! LOL!
More silly fun!!
Mom and I went to a clothing consignment sale on Sat. I found some pretty good deals on some jeans and winter shirts and some shoes for the boys. We also got a great deal on some used books. Granny read at least 3 to the boys. They just kept wanting her to keep reading!
Found this great item at the store today! Can't wait to try it in a few days. It is a margarita mixer in a LIGHT version! whoo hoo! I can make my own version of skinny girl margaritas! The mixer is usually the part that has all the sugar and calories. This is only 20 calories for 8 oz!! and only 1 sugar! Yum! I hope it tastes good! I'll probably wait till Friday to try it out with our weekly mexican takeout! :-)

Let's see
Well this week has been back to school time. Both boys have done great! D is enjoying learning to read better everyday and likes to do his homework. B is enjoying his days at school too!
B had his first soccer practice yesterday. D has his 1st practice on Saturday. It's going to be fun having both boys in soccer this year. Just hoping the games aren't on same nights so I can watch both boys play.
Not much else happening this week. Just HOT HOT weather! I will be glad when it cools down just a little.
Well, hope everyone has a great weekend!

As you can tell a picture tells a thousand words! He was so excited to go to school! Check out his cheek to cheek to grin!! A happy boy! He also loves his spiderman bookbag!
Here we go! First day walking them BOTH into school!
D was excited too!
D has his own desk now!Too cute!
Getting ready to leave B for his first day. He started to get just a little clingy, but did awesome!
The 2nd day everyone did great also! I am so proud of them. D is already coming home with flashcards to study each day and doing so good with them!
The school had a family picnic on Sat. It turned out pretty good. It was pretty hot so hopefully next year we can have a waterslide to help keep everyone cool! Then I took the boys to the Y to swim and play with one of their friends. They had a great time. Daddy stayed home to cut the grass. Then the boys wanted to have Chick fil A so we headed there. They really enjoyed eating in there, then having a vanilla cone and then playing on the indoor playground for a short time. I usually don't let them play on those indoor places. It seems to me that the parents with the wild, crazy children are the ones playing in there. Kinda like they bring the wild ones there to play...i don't know. Just my experiences in the past.
bryson,hjjkjhmjmnjhgbhgbghjttgvnbv...ha ha! that was B coming over and wanting to type his name and then try to type fast like me....too funny!
Running has been going great! I'm very excited. I have been going either early in the morning or late in the evening at almost 8pm so that it's the cooler parts of the day. I think my body has realized that I'm really keeping this up now and the weight is coming off again...whoo hoo. Story of my life! But here I go again. My next race is the women's 5K in Sept. I have decided to take a different approach this time. I can run the 5K already, but I have decided to really follow the interval training schedule this time to see if it makes any difference. I am wondering if it will help me increase my pace and run a little faster, we'll see. Then after that race I will start to train again for the 1/2 in Disney....yikes.....don't want to think about it at the moment!
Not sure what we are going to do today. Mike is going racing. The heat is going to be really high outside. I have laundry to do and some cleaning. But, I need to think of something for the boys to do...hmmm..still thinking....I will figure something out.
I go tomorrow to get a bracket taken off of my tooth that has decided not to come in...boo hoo. The tooth is still under the gum, but I want the bracket off that they put on to help pull it up. It hopefully wont' be too bad. Just need to loosen the gum around it and take the bracket off the tooth. Then back to the orthodontist on Tuesday. I actually think my bottom teeth are about done, except for the missing one. The other one is pretty much in place in my opinion. I will see what he says and then what the plan is. The top one still has a little more to come in, but it's working on it so I'm happy, but still ready for these dumn things to be off!!! Anyway....off to do some things and figure out the plan for the day. Toodles!

sneaky peeky
Here is a little sneak peek of my boys on the first day of school! They were very excited!!
Not sure if I'll be back on here later tonight at home or not to add the other pics. So just thought I'd add a little happy Friday smiles on here!!
Hope everyone has a good weekend!! More pics sometime this weekend!

Not a dull moment..
Well I thought we had seen just about all the exciting wildlife that we would around here until tonight. These little cuties were just across the street in our neighbors front yard. Two little baby raccoons. They were so cute. I was trying to get close for pics and Mike was worried the momma would coming running out of nowhere and attack me. We never saw the momma. The babies played a little and then just kinda wandered away and walked into the woods. How cute!
Me and my sis took the boys to Incredible Pizza today. The last playday before school starts tomorrow. I had four free pizza buffet tickets and four $10 game cards I won at an auction. Also a special was running that if you wore your superhero costume they would add $10 to your game card. So we took our batman outfit. I told the girl the boys just didn't want to put it on. We only had one costume but she gave both boys the $10!! Sweet!! So the boys got to play with a free $60 worth of game cards! We used just about all of it up too!! B loved the motorcycle game. He must of played about 6 or 8 games straight and then raced D and won!
Aunt Jen got to be the gas pedal pusher since B's feet couldn't press the gas and drive at the same time.
The boys had a blast!!
Well.......another interesting thing happened today. NOTE TO SELF and all others out there that this might apply to!! Make sure to set the lock controls on your dish or direct tv!! B rented three movies today without us knowing!!!!!! yep!!!! We have been working on teaching the boys how to run the remote controls. So that they can turn on the tv and then turn to the couple of channels that their cartoons come on. Well Dish has recently added a new feature at the bottom of the guide to rent movies with the push of a button. Well considering the boys only know the guide, channel and select buttons....well he must of somehow pushed the key to rent and then tried to get out of the screen by pushing select! I came into the room after showering and noticed the tv wasn't on the cartoons anymore. He was now in the other room with D. When I pushed the guide to see what it was...not a kid friendly movie at all....it said "rented" next to it. HUH?? So I immediately went into the movie selector and realized he had rented 3 movies! So Mike quickly got on the phone to call and cancel them. Well, don't you know, PPV movies are non refundable! Of course not! But thankfully the guy did give us 3 free movie rentals to help out. Gee thanks....we already have netflix! But oh well, two of the movies might be worth watching and we get to pick three more. Needless to say we now have all movie rentals channels and video on demand channels locked with a password! Lesson learned, thanks to our super smart almost 5 yr old! ha...suprised he didn't find a Spongebob movie to rent!! LOL!!
Well tomorrow is the first day of school!! eekk!! I am very excited but nervous too! We will be up and outta here early with my tissues and camera ready!
Well toodles for tonight! First day of school post coming soon!

Scorching!
First of all I need to add a new post. I don't like pulling up the blog and seeing my crazy looking pirate face! eekk! I took the pic myself so it's too close up! oh well. So here's a new post.
It was scorching today! Temp was like 102 with heat index of 120! what?!! Hot hot! I took the boys to a dentist appt first thing this morning. Just a routine check up. Dev has a small piece of a back molar broken so we will go back to get it fixed, otherwise all is great with his teeth. B was still a bit of a struggle to let them clean his teeth, but he finally let her do it. He got an A+ report also! Great white teeth! yippee!!
Then we did a small grocery/toiletry run to Walmart and then headed home for lunch. We also got Bry a new blanket for naptime at school. His napmap sheet is Spiderman (thanks Grandma Dee) but he wanted a spongebob blanket. No prob...who says you have to match your sheet with your blanket! We are all set with school stuff, now just waiting for Thursday.
We spent the rest of the day being lazy! how nice! I loved it. The boys must of felt lazy too. We mostly just sat on the couch and watched endless episodes of Spongebob and Phineas and Ferb. I did get a cat nap in too..hee hee. Then we went to TKD so they could run alittle bit of energy out.
Tomorrow B is getting his before school starts haircut. Then I think we might head to the pool for just a few hours. I don't want to stay too long since it's going to be so hot. But a dip in the pool should feel very nice.
Well that's about it. I have to get my jog done early tomorrow before the heat hits. I ran 5 days last week, so I'm pretty impressed with myself. oh yeah......I did it......not sure why yet.....but I did sign up to run the Disney princess 1/2 marathon in Feb. with my friend and her sis. Not sure what I'm thinking yet...but.....it's done now. So no looking back! I'm hoping to redeem myself a little bit, the blisters and the very sick running mate that we had to help out. I'm hoping Mickey will keep me inspired and motivated! eekkk!!! I'm not officially starting to train for that yet. Still just getting back into routinely running and also doing the women's 5K run again next month. Mom is doing it again this year too! way to go! But believe me, I'm sure you will hear all about my training once I start, just like last time. Lots of moaning and groaning and pain, but...looking forward to that "Disney" medal! whoo hoo!
Well I'm getting tired just thinking about it. Toodles.

Time to play
It's a pirate mommy! Ha, I found this hat at Hobby Lobby for $2. Perfect for my kids pirate treasure hunt and for our upcoming cruise pirate night party also!
The kids had to walk the plank for their eye patch and then follow clues around the yard.
The next clue gave them a bandana and more clues to the treasure!
Good job pirates! They found it!!
The kids also did some marshmallow building and limbo games.
Both boys had 2 friends each over. 6 excited boys! They had a great time. Everything went really smoothly. The first 30 minutes was probably the hardest because they were all so excited. But once the excitement settled everyone did great. They all enjoyed lunch and then went home. The boys loved it!
Today I'm going to help out at the school with the PTO board for new student orientation. It worked out perfect that the boys are invited to a waterslide party just down the street at the same time. So Daddy, will have a pretty easy afternoon with the boys.
I'm trying to get next week all planned out also. Both boys have dentist appt's on Monday and B has a haircut appt on Tuesday. We will probably spend some time at the Y pool again and not sure what else yet for their last few days of summer. School starts Thursday! We found out what teachers they have. Bry is very excited because he got the same teacher D had for preK. This is good news, because I think it will easier for B since he knows the teacher and has played in her room during PTO meetings. Dev got the teacher he wanted. Sr. Margaret Sue. He also is thrilled that his best friend since PreK will be in his class with him. He also has other friends that will be with him too! wow...PreK and 1st graders!!!!!!!! wow!!!!!!
Here are some videos of my new pool jumping boys:
I finally figured out how to add video again. So I'll probably be adding more videos now. I still can't believe how they are jumping in this summer! They are going to have so much fun on our cruise at the end of August! They will be able to go down the waterslide, and swim in the ocean and jump into the ocean! Sooo much fun!!
Well that's all for now. Time to get busy around here. Toodles.

oh yeah...yumminess...
So my inspiration came from here. Bakerella has some great ideas. Now her's are much more decorative, but I think mine did turn out pretty good for the first attempt. Yummy...ice cream cone cake pops. I actually made the oreo truffles with just oreo's and cream cheese and then followed the rest for the ice cream cone pops.
Don't they look yummy!! The boys couldn't wait to eat one!
Here is the "oopps I dropped mine style" ha ha..
Yes, they did get one and it was 7:30pm! eekk! Hyper city came right at bed time, but we managed to get them to sleep. At least it's still summer for us till next Thursday!
I haven't made any treats lately so I figured it was time. I got in the mood while planning my boys play date for Saturday. It's going to be fun! The kids will get to be pirates and go on a treasure hunt! I'm hoping it doesn't rain tomorrow and I can get a few big appliance boxes from the store so they can have pirate ships too, but we'll see. Then it will be picnic lunch time with sandwiches, chips, oranges, and chocolate pudding with sprinkles and gummy worms on top...yummo! Some of the other moms think I'm crazy, but I'm ready and ready to have fun.
Another girls night out tomorrow and this time I"m not on antibiotics..yippee! I can finally have the big mama margarita! I'll have to take a pic!!
Still running....a friend and I run everyday at lunch for 30 minutes and then I try to run at least 2 of my 4 off days. I'm finally getting back into the feeling that I "have" to run because I want to. I guess it's true that enough of something can become a habit, in this case a good thing!
Well that's all for now, hope your mouth is watering from the snack pics.... :-) goodnight!
