oh yeah

I had a great 21st bday yesterday!!! whoo hoo!! Too bad I didn't get to indulge in my first drink since I had some things to do last night requiring driving. But, hoping to hit the drive thru local Daquiri shops this weekend, whoo hoo!! Enjoyed a great dinner out also with my three fav guys in the whole world!

Mark our Elf even got in on the celebration! Check him out!

Loved making these cute little reindeer for the boys!

The boys got creative on their own too!

Bry decided to give his reindeer a mohawk!! LOL!

The other night the boys had their school Christmas program. Dev got to wear a nice outfit and Bry wore an angel costume. They both did very good in their singing at the program. We were very proud of them!

Of course with almost every nice pic is a crazy pic!!

Mark was found hanging from our Mistletoe this morning! He even brought a small bag of kisses for the boys.  Very cute! Dev shared one of his with me, so sweet!

The kisses came in handy this morning to be the nose for their breakfast.

The weather is pretty chilly this morning. About 30 degrees but supposed to warm up to about 58 or so. yay!

Oh yeah, excited to do a little Zumba today. I got Wii Zumba for my birthday. I love to dance so this should be fun and include a workout without much realizing it! Actually, I will definetely realize it I'm sure as I start to drip sweat dancing all around, but that's OK!

Well time to watch a few recorded shows and then head out to the grocery store. Maybe even grab another Starbucks for a treat, thanks to my sis for the giftcard for my bday!
Toodles.

Good times

We've had a great few days. Mimi and Gran J were in town for the boys Christmas program. We went to the dress rehearsal this morning. It was so much fun! I took some pics, but we'll see if I get any better pics tonight after the performance before I post them. We also drove around looking at lights, love all the cajun influence. I'll be taking my camera next time so I can share all the fun here!
Last night we went out for dinner for an early celebration for my birthday. We took the boys to Joe's Crab Shack. It was their first time there. It was such a great time!

Dev ordered the kids Steampot! wow!!

An attempted group photo but not everyone was quite ready, still a fun pic!

He was getting so serious working on getting all the crab meat out!

Created a few different Christmas cinnamon chips for yesterday's after school snack.

Some of Mark's other adventures include an appearance in our blender. Bry was so tickled We've been making homemade slushes, so he was tickled that Mark appeared in the blender so we couldn't have slushes that day. :-)

Today he is keeping watch from above our door. Can't wait to see where he appears tomorrow!

So tonight is the real Christmas program peformance at the school. Excited for Daddy to see it, he didn't get to attend the dress rehearsal.

Only a few more days and Mom and my sis will be here to check out our new town. Excited to show them around and do a little shopping. Sat. is also Mike's work Christmas party so the boys get to hang out with Mom and Aunt Jen.

Loving the warm weather here. It was 79 yesterday! Now it has cooled down to 50's today but I'll take the 50's over 30's or lower anyday!!

On a side note, I've decided not to do Christmas cards this year. It's not that I'm not in the spirit, I am!! But going to be a little more frugal this year with some things until we are completely settled. So I'll be emailing a Christmas greeting, putting one on FB and also a greeting on here. It's not that I'm trying to be less personal so I hope everyone understands.

Well time to get to the more more stuff like chores, grocery shopping and cleaning...boo! But someones gotta do it I guess! LOL...toodles until next time.

It's shocking but true!

Shocking but true! I'm back early with another post!!! whoo hoo! First I wanted to share Dev's pic he drew in school of the Mayflower. Wow, I'm always impressed with his detail.

We went to breakfast with Santa this morning and the boys really enjoyed it. At first Dev didn't want to take a pic with Santa so Bry went solo.

They had several craft tables for the kids to visit. They decorated a bag and then got to fill it with goodies at different tables.

They also had several games. One was ring toss onto the reindeer, very cute!

They also made bracelets with Jesus charms, colored a puzzle to take home, got Christmas tattoos, and also got Reindeer food. After eating his doughnuts and doing a few games Dev decided to get his pic taken. We also won a raffle door prize, a very nice Christmas story book.

Mark appeared on our tree this morning holding one of the candy canes. Wonder where he'll be tomorrow morning??

Made these easy cinnamon tortilla Christmas tree chips for the boys. Very easy and tasty too.

Also made a homemade strawberry cake. The boys helped decorate it. I put a line down the center of the cake so each boy could decorate half of it. The line made it look kinda funny though....hee hee.

Taste time...Yummy!!

Toodles! :-)

It's that time again!

Mark the Elf has returned! The boys got to watch a movie on TV this year that shows what the Elf does at night when he flies back to the North Pole to talk to Santa. They totally enjoyed it! I'm excited about Mark returning. He picked a nice spot to start
his return sitting next to the boys picture with Santa.

We were so excited to have Daddy back after being gone for 6 days! We made him some welcome home cookies. My little bakers.

We made these from a recipe by Picky Palate. It is for a single serve portion. The batch makes one very large cookie or as you can see we made 6 smaller ones. (LOL, GLAD I READ THIS RIGHT AFTER POSTING TO CHECK IT, AS YOU CAN SEE I MADE 7 COOKIES, NOT 6....LOL)Perfect size batch, if you don't have them you can't eat them!! LOL!

For a snack for the boys today I tried to get creative. I made them rice crispy reindeers.

And I also attempted an igloo! Too funny!

Last weekend we went to the movies. We wanted to see the Imax Happy Feet 2, but when we got there the screen was having problems. We saw Puss in Boots. It was Ok, but I would of preferred to see Happy Feet. As we were leaving Bry posed with the chipmunks, can't wait for Chipwrecked the movie, looks like it is going to be pretty funny!

An interesting shopping experience! Too funny! No, we didn't buy it, just took pictures with it! I know, but had to have pics for FB and my blog, right?!

Tomorrow we are going to Breakfast with Santa at the school. It should be fun, then hoping to do some driving around after dinner to look at some Christmas lights. There is a house in the neighborhood beside us that has a fantabulous display! They even have it choreographed to music, what?! Very cool, I'm sure Mike was thinking for me to not get any ideas for the future...LOL.
Looking forward to next week, the boys have their school Christmas play.
What else?
I think that's all for now. Hope everyone has a great weekend! Toodles.

Such a great time!

We've had a great time the last 2 weeks. We had to make a turkey treat of course!!

Dev reconstructed his Turkey into the Mayflower!! LOL...can you see it??

Bry got creative too!!

Me and the boys headed back up to MS and spent about 4 days there visiting family and friends. It was good to see people and Mom cooked a great early Thanksgiving meal. We also loaded up the car with stuff to bring back. The most important of course was the Christmas tree!! Even after our 5 1/2 hour trip home the boys were anxious to put the tree up. We turned on the Christmas music and put it up! We were leaving the next day early and Daddy would be gone a few days so it was the perfect time!

Then we headed south to visit more family and friends. More good food too including fabulous gumbo!! Uncle Lewis gave the boys a violin lesson they did great!! I'm going to try to upload a video of it at the end of this blog post. There was a great turnout of family. Many people we hadn't seen in quite a few years. I can't believe I didn't take any pictures of the people....they got lucky this time!! ha ha..

Took the boys to the park today to work off all our eating! They had the park almost all to themselves for a little bit and then the crowd came.

Big LSU game today. (they won too!) We were sporting our new LSU car flag from Mimi and Gran J!

We happened upon this huge tree! And there are lots of lights set up. We will have to ride back by there at night!

This was hysterical!!! Even Santa cooks Gumbo in Baton Rouge!!!

Oh yeah, for the 2nd time the tooth fairy visited Dev while we were in Mobile. Look to your right of his front teeth, another tooth gone!!

Tonight was homemade banana splits! Yummo!! The boys loved them!

Tomorrow we're going to check out the zoo. The weather should be in the low 70's. Then we'll probably grab a redbox movie on the way home to watch with popcorn.
Hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving. We did!! We are so thankful for everyone in our lives and thankful for everyday with our blessed family! Toodles for now.

I think it uploaded ok. Enjoy.
