Fun and more FUN!

     Dev had a great birthday party. He had so much fun playing with his friends in the pool. They played Marco Polo, chicken, and then had fun jumping in all together. The weather turned out to be really great and I'm glad I had the party early in the day. The afternoon showers came as usual in the late afternoon so the 12pm party worked out great. Apparently around age 11 is when the parents just drop the kids off for the party and come back. It was totally OK with me; we just had plenty of left over pizza to enjoy for dinner and lunch the next day.. ha ha...

On his actual birthday we went out to eat at Cheesecake factory! Yum...I had to pass on the cheesecake though since I was trying to do really good in preparation for my race this weekend. So....I owe myself a really big piece of cheesecake! ha! The boys totally enjoyed theirs and had left overs for dessert the next day!

Last Friday Bry and I had our own home movie night. Dev had soccer practice and Bry and I watched a movie. We watched Gulliver's Travels with Jack Black. I've never seen the movie before and I thought it was a really cute movie! We even watched again Sat. morning with Daddy and Dev because we enjoyed it so much.

A girl at work had a package of supplies delivered that had dry ice in it. She gave it to me to take home to have a little fun with the boys. So....I took a bucket and put some water in it and dropped the dry ice in. Voila....we had an instant witches' caldron! The boys were amazed at the bubbling smoke and had a great time watching it and blowing the smoke until it finally totally dissolved. 

First Bry was determined to teach himself cursive(which he did successfully) and now it's typing. He learned about a website from school that he can learn to type using the home keys. So he's been practicing all on his own to get better. He is very serious with it and doesn't want to be disturbed when he is practicing...LOL...I love his determination!!

IT'S TIME!!!! I leave tomorrow for my Disney weekend of fun and the race! I can't wait!! I'm so excited!! I'm heading up early and meeting one of my friends Lisa for lunch and then we will pick up Denise from the airport. We will head from the airport to Epcot to enjoy the FOOD AND WINE FESTIVAL! yay!! I'm looking forward to it. Although.....there are so many countries to sample food from and I want to sample them ALL! Ha! I don't know how I'm going to narrow down my selections...decisions, decisions!!  Then on Friday we will head to the race expo to pick up our race stuff and then spend the day at Magic Kingdom. Saturday will be a day of shopping around Downtown Disney and relaxing by the pool at the resort resting up for the race. The race is at 10pm on Saturday night with the after race party lasting until 3:30 am! We get to ride the rides in Hollywood studios and enjoy music, drinks and more food until wee hours of the night....FUN!! I'm so excited! I have a few surprise goodies for the girls too, but of course I can't share those just yet!

I can't wait to see everyone in their outfits for the race! I plan to enjoy this race a little more than the Princess 1/2 marathon we did in 2011 and stop and take some pictures along the way of anything we find interesting. :-)  I have done my training so I'm not at all worried about the race and in fact I'm just totally excited!! YAY!!!
