No one ever...

No one ever wants to come back home from vacation!! We had such a great time in STL. We took the boys to the Nascar speedpark and they had an absolute blast! Lots of driving go carts. Mike even liked it!

The bumper boats were alot of fun! Although, I wanted to strangle one other boy that kept spraying water on me. Poor D's shorts were totally soaked when we got done. They did eventually dry out, thank goodness.

This was B's first time driving a go cart all by himself. He did excellent! Although, I don't have the pic where he rammed into the back of Dev and pushed him sideways, it was funny. They both really enjoyed it!

We took the kids to the pool one afternoon. The boys loved playing in the pool with our friend's girls.

Dev even learned a new trick thanks to K and G!!! Thanks girls!!

We took the boys down to see the Arch. The river was flooded as you can see in the picture. Usually you can park to the left of the street lights you see down down there!!

We didn't take the boys up in the Arch this time. That will definetely be on the agenda for our next visit!
We took them to the Magic House also. They had tons of fun. Here is one section where they got to pretend they were working on a car. Right up their alley!!

Gotta love the static ball...check out my hair!! Wow!! Hysterical!

We also got to stop by and visit some other great friends of ours. Their baby will be 1 yrs old next month, isn't she such a cutie!!

She even warmed up to Mike pretty quickly!

We had such a great visit in STL! The boys really enjoyed hanging out with the girls. Thanks for all the hospitality Kelli!! We will definetely be back....you know it!! :-)

The boys are back at the day camp today. It's waterslide day, so I've been up there taking some pics. I have to go back shortly to get D in the action. I already got B sliding down. It was very cute. They got lucky today, the weather is really nice and not too hot!
Back to work tomorrow and then a holiday weekend ahead!! I think we might go out to my bro-in-law's lake house. It should be fun. I won't be having my usual cookout this year. But I'll probably just plan another cookout for another weekend to make up for it..just for you Jen...hee hee!!
Well, back up to the school to take some pics!! Toodles!

Who knew??

So here are my pics from the skating as promised. I love this pic as he's saying....HELP!! I don't know how to do this!!!!!!!!

Who knew they made walkers with wheels to help you skate! It was a lifesaver!! He loved it and it helped give him confidence!

He had many many falls! But he did survive!! WHOA!!!

I love this pic! When D saw it he said "wow...! look how fast I was going!!!"
hee hee....too funny!

He had sooooo much fun!! Well I hope everyone has a great weekend! We plan on it ourselves! Looking forward to our first weekend away this summer! We are planning mostly all indoor fun activities so we won't be too hot! I only like the heat if there's a pool or beach around!! Toodles!! Pics and updates when we return!

Wow wee!!

WHEW!! It is pretty stressful watching a roller skating field trip if you have never experienced it!! I went Tuesday to watch D skate for the first time. My nerves were shot by the end of the 2 hours!! D did really well, and of course fell ALOT!! Many of the kids fell alot and it scared me everytime time! wow! I'm just the nervous nelly I guess! Like I said D did awesome. This rink had these walker type things on wheels that the kids could hold onto while they skate. It helped them so much. I think D skated almost the whole time. He only took like one break for a drink and then right back at it. It was alot of fun watching him even though I was so nervous. He kept getting more and more confident the longer he skated. They go again next week. I won't be able to make that one, but hoping he comes home injury free! I did take pics at skating and I'll have to add those later when I'm at home.
Afterwards I did get to go get my hair done and relax after the morning stress...ha ha!
Having some family company over for dinner tonight so I'm looking forward to it. If only I could get off work now it would be alot nicer! :-)
Looking forward to this weekend and going out of town. We are taking the boys for some STL fun and visiting with friends. It's going to be alot of fun!
That's about all for now I guess....happy hump day!! Toodles!

Such sweetie's!

This guy is NOT the sweetie! But found him on our back patio so I decided to snap a pic of him.

Father's day morning the boys took a breakfast order from daddy and got to work. D was in charge of the pancakes. He loves to cook them!!

This was B's first attempt at cooking some breakfast. He was in charge of the scrambled eggs and did a fabulous job of course!!

Then breakfast was delivered to a hungry daddy!

And of course a photo op for Father's Day 2010. What a great husband and wonderful daddy!!! The boys are very lucky to have such a wonderful dad! This is my new favorite pic of all my boys!

Spent the day in the pool today. We went to the Y for a few hours and then came home to our own inflatable pool.  The boys are getting to be pretty pool savvy now. They are starting to play games to dive under and get toys from the bottom of the pool! How unbelievable!!The both are under looking for the army men.

Now it's Bry's turn!

Now D's turn!

UH OH!! Potty break!! Good thing we have these really tall bushes and I have two boys! We don't have to worry about rushing in the house soaking wet everytime they have to pee!! LOL! Never really thought I'd let my boys do this unless it was an emergency but sometimes convience it a reason also!! ha ha!

Well busy day tomorrow of running errands and getting some things done. One thing on my agenda is to go to D's skating field trip. He has never been so this will be alot of fun. You know I'll have pics of course! Let's just hope I dont' get to brave and then end up with a broken body part!! NOT!! I plan to be the photographer and not the skater! Not.....that I can't do it....just don' want to....  :-)
Well that's all for now. Toodles!

Nice but could be nicer!

Well today started off really well. I had just left for work and I got a call from work. They had a water pipe burst and were cancelling all my patients so I could turn around and go home. NICE!!! But it wasn't long after that they called and said our orientation that was scheduled for Friday afternoon would now be this afternoon from 1-5pm. BUMMER!! So I get the morning off but then have to go in later. The orientation is because my work office has been bought out by a hospital. hmmmm...not sure how it's going to go. They claim nothing is going to change, but that's really impossible in my opinion since we will now have new management over our management! I will be interested to see how things go over the next few weeks.
I even got up this morning and went for a 2 mile run. The weather was great and not too hot yet. Although, while on my run I heard the wierdest animal noise! It freaked me out a little. It was like a noise I have never heard an animal make except at the zoo. I heard it twice and kept running. Then went I came back by the same area I heard it again multiple times. Honestly, it sounded like those wierd monkeys you see at the zoo that make those loud calling noises!! eekkk! sure hope we don't have a wild monkey in our neighborhood. It really did not sound like a bird, fox, or even peacock like I've seen. Not sure if peacocks make noise but whatever. I've also been told someone saw a bobcat. i don't know if that's true, but I would think a bobcat would growl and not howl like a wild monkey! I don't know...it was really wierd, but I just kept running! Hoping a wild monkey wasn't going to start chasing me....LOL.....I think I'd have the fastest mile ever though!!! Hysterical!!
So I'm catching up on a few things including my blog before I head to the boring...intation. Ha...just made that word up for your enjoyment!! I'm wierd like that! :-)
I took the boys to the Y pool on Monday! They absolutely love it and so do I! D is becoming the pro of going down the waterslide now! He wanted to do it again like the other day so I went to the bottom to catch him. He must of went down about 20 times!! Each time he came down faster and faster and not holding the sides to slow him down. So I decided it was time to let him go under water this time as he comes down. He came down fast and I let him go under with me right there to help him back up. He did fine!! He even wanted to go down again. He went up, but on the way he bumped his knee pretty hard and starting crying. He still came down the slide, but it was slower this time and he was crying. His knee turned out to be OK, just a bruise I think, but he was done with the slide for the day. B had a breakthrough also. They have this large mushroom type sprayer thing with lots of water spraying down. He finally went through it to the dry inside part and then back out again. He kept doing it and I was amazed! I'm so glad they are getting better with the water and swimming!
Today is crazy hair day at the summer camp at daycare. It was really just for Dev but B of course wanted his done also. So we made mohawks! Glad D hadn't had his haircut yet so we were able to make it stand pretty tall! They were very excited about their shark mohawk hair!!

Well I better get back to some things around the house before my time is up! Toodles for now!

Boo on Monday!

Yuk it's monday morning. At least I got to sleep in till 7am and I don't have any real plans today. It's supposed to be a scorcher today! I think me and the boys will head to the Y at opening time around 10am to enjoy the pool before the real heat sets in later today. Both boys have ball games tonight so we will be sweating for sure.
I might get a little work done on my wedding scrapbook later when we are inside cooling off. I haven't gotten to about mid ceremony already so I'm moving along. Then I will do our honeymoon pics. Not sure what I want to do after that. I am thinking of making a vacation book. It would only be limited pics from our vacations just to give a little story of each. Especially since I usually can't get back from a vacation without at least 200 pics! I love the digital age!!
Same story different day. Really need to lay off the sweet and salty and hit the gym! We will be on a cruise in less than 2 1/2 months and I have some definete pounds that need to come off. Same story I know. It's almost like groundhog day! Ha....I am so excited about the trip. The boys are going to have so much fun especially since they aren't afraid of the water this time!
Hoping I should be pretty close to the top braces coming off. The top tooth is pretty much in, just need to straighten them out just a little and it should be set. The dr. knows.....I AM READY! and that is an understatement! As far as the bottom....not too good. the one is in but needs straigthened out and the other bottom one isn't in yet. I am very frustrated with this whole things, especially since I had perfect teeth and smile before. Even if I had three baby teeth! I see him tomorrow and we'll see. I am about ready to give up on the unseen one and just get a fake one or something....hey I might just even be toothless! I am so tired of this!! It has already been 2 yrs next month!!!!!!!! That is enough!!!!!!!
Just have to say I'm so happy for my friend Beth and family!!! They are going to Disney next week. It will be the first time for the whole family!!!!! YAHOOO!!!!!!! You guys are going to have so much fun Beth!!!!!!
Well time for another cup of coffee. Toodles.

Here we go

Alright!! Here we go! This morning went a little different than planned. I dropped D off and they offered to bring him home. That meant I had to go home and straighten the house up in addition to my other plans. I did get to the bank and then went and signed both boys up for fall soccer. I got home and cleaned up. Then I got to the stuff I wanted to do while all the boys were gone. My 3, then 2 hours of free time went by like it was 10 minutes!! But I did get a few things done, just didn't get on here. But here I am and the pics actually loaded! I am so thrilled.
So let's start with my girls weekend in Kansas city! What a blast! We had so much fun hanging out, chatting, eating and drinking! We had two adjoining rooms so the 6 of us could all mingle as we wanted. The hotel was gorgeous! We were all bummed out though that you had to pay to use the gym....whatever!!!

This is what you get when you complain that your Long Island tea was watered down. The bar manager himself with a little ego attitude came and personally delievered Stacy's drink and overflowed it with alcohol. His sarcasm was uncalled for, but it helped her enjoy the night! hee hee!

We didn't know we'd have our own live entertainment!! Kelli was competing with the 80 yr old man out on the dance floor. Jennifer did dance with the man, but decided to tip Kelli instead! ha!! LOL!

I DON'T KNOW! Just a fun pic!!

I had a great time with the girls and hope maybe we can make it an annual event to have a girls weekend away!!
Me and my sis here posing after my food party with the dud hostess. But we still all had a great time!

My friend Tiff got the 1st to arrive award...aka....I'm ready to eat!! The boys loved my necklace and couldn't wait to find out who won it! Leave it to me right....ha....love it!!

This is from a play date with Bry. We had breakfast with Dad and Dee and then went to the park to feed the ducks and geese.   He was terrified. He wanted back in the car. So while I was feeding them, here he was!

We did make it over to the bridge area and then he was much more comfortable feeding them.

Dad gave us this wonderful pool!! The boys love playing in it! I've even been in it with them! Ahhh. refreshing!

Congrats to my D for his kindie graduation!! So proud of him! 1st grade next...wow!! And his little brother joining him at school!!!!! Yeah!!! One drop off and one pickup spot.....so happy!

I did take the boys to build a bear. Yes, both boys. B wasn't supposed to get it, but he did great the last two weeks like I asked him. He even got two sunshine reports in one week! I thought for a 4 yr old that was awesome! So they both got the build a bear experience. For those of you (probably grandparents..hee hee) that don't know how it works......First the boys got to pick what animal skin they wanted. It was just the animal shell. They took it to the next station where a girl let the boys control the foot pedal and she filled the animal with stuffing. They got to pick out a little heart to put in it and then she sewed them up. Next station, was the wash station. It was neat because they had little scrub brushes and the boys stepped on a foot pedal that sounded like water running.

Once they were clean then it was time to pick the outfit and get them dressed to go home. I couldn't believe all the possiblities! Wow, they even had choices like eyeglasses and skates. We did end up with bear underwear under the outifts...hilarious! These are the final products!
D's is a panda bear even though you can't see him, transformed into a storm trooper. He named him Fuzzy.

B picked a leopard as Luke Skywalker. He named him Bo-bee.. Not sure where that came from, but these days he will fit right in! LOL!

This is D in preparation to go down the slide and the Y. Love the goggles!! And....why can't I have those ABS!!

My baby B and his baseball game. Not sure what he's pointing at, but at least in this pic he's not kicking or throwing dirt!

HI MOM AND DAD!!

This is the bribery for a good pic. We have to take a crazy pic first and then we can take a good one. Hey...what ever works right?

My growing up boy in his big boy summer clothes!!

Yes! I am so excited that I finally got some new pics on here!! Next I hope to figure out how to get some videos on here.
It is really hot here this weekend. I think we might go to the Y pool tomorrow or the water spray park to stay cool.
Planning a trip to STL in a few weeks. I'm very excited to take the boys to visit some friends and do some fun things in STL.
On a serious note, please keep Dad in your thoughts and prayers. He is starting to get to the rough times in his chemo and radiation. His BP was very low yesterday and now he has to have an IV bag of fluids daily at home to help keep him hydrated. At least he is about at the 1/2 way point! Hang in there Dad you can do it!!
Well time to go figure out something to do inside with the boys. Maybe I'll make up some type of scavenger hunt, they always love that kind of stuff!
Toodles for now.

Some words

Well hello there! I'm back but without pics. I'm not at my home computer so I don't have pics available to upload. The summer has been really fun so far! The boys are enjoying their play days at home and I am defintetely enjoying sleeping in a little later!! I took the boys to the Y to swim earlier in the week and wow they are doing great! I need to get there with Mike so he can help me get them practicing to swim a farther distance. But, they aren't afraid to put their face in the water anymore! I am so excited about that! D even went down the slide at the Y with me at the bottom to catch him. That's amazing! I'm hoping to get him to go down by himself by the end of the summer. Then he'll be ready for our Disney cruise later in the summer and be able to go down the slides while we are on the boat! Awesome!
We have signed up for Netflix. So far I really like it. We've watched Obsessed, Mall Cop and the Tooth Fairy. I liked all of them. The hardest part is deciding what to watch since I'm so behind and out of the loop on movies! I don't even see the commercials for movies so I don't know what's out or what they are about. If you know anyone good ones, leave me a comment or drop me an email!
I got out yesterday morning and went for a run before work! That's amazing since I haven't ran in months! Shame on me! But hoping to get back in the groove! The late mornings will help. If I can get out early and get it done then I'd be good.
Baseball season is wrapping up. The boys have done so good! B only has one more game left. I do have some videos I need to get posted also! I'm so far behind, but they're coming! D has about 3 games left but last night got rained out. He also had a rain out earlier so I'm not sure if those will be made up or not. I'm signing them up for fall soccer this weekend. D loves soccer and all the running around. I'm going to sign B up too this time now that he is old enough. They both love to take the soccer ball to the other's baseball game and play with the soccer ball while the other plays baseball.
D is doing good in TKD. He has been to about 3 classes and is doing really well. It's obvious he has been out for awhile, but I know after more practicing he'll be right there with his younger brother :-)
Like I said B is going with his TKD school to watch karate kid tomorrow morning. D is kinda sad not to be going but he's more excited about his play date with his best friend from school. Last night his friend called him to talk. It was so cute to see his face light up that his friend was on the phone. The talked for a few minutes and it was adorable! He told his friend that he loves him more that karate kid and that's why he's coming to his house and not going to karate kid. Cute!! You could call this a milestone. This will be D's first play date with a friend. I am going to drop him off and go back later to get him. His parents are really nice and don't live far from us at all. My baby boy is growing up!! eekkk!! He also looks so grown up in his summer clothes. I mean, he's been in his school uniform mostly. So we went and got him some new summer clothes and he looks all grown up with his skater dude shorts and shirts....I have a pic to share of course.!
D came running into my bathroom yesterday morning telling me.."Mommy, Mommy....there's a pelican in our back yard and I think it has oil on it!!!"  ha ha....sad but cute. It was the big Herron type bird in our pond out back and he is dark grey. I guess he is hearing so much about the oil even at 6 yrs old!
B is my little comedian and I love him so much! He has so much personality and I love to hear him tell stories. They are so animated. It's hard to describe, but his version of things is hysterical! Still loving to sing, hum and even beat box. If I could only get him to let me take some video! Maybe one day!
They are both loving summer "camp" They are at the daycare for the last summer. Kinda sad, since we've been going there for 6 yrs! D has several fieldtrips this summer as part of his program. One fieldtrip is skating....he has never been! In fact I described it to him and then he's like...I don't know how! I know....that's why mommy will probably be there with you :-) Luckily it's on my day off!
Well that's some of my stories from recently! Unless things change I'll be adding lots of pics here in the morning! Happy weekend to all!

HHHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLOOOOO! i'M BACK!

Well i was going to be but......started uploading a bunch of pics and came back to finish the post and only 2 had uploaded and computer was frozen ugh!!!! Sorry, so now I'll try to get those up on Sat. morning. Daddy and B are going to Karate Kid with the TKD school and D is going for a play day with a friend from school. So I'll have a few free mommy hours to catch up on my blog posting.
Going out tomorrow night to a girls party. It's a party selling purses and tote bags and stuff. Should be fun. Toodles for now.

Summer is here!

The summer is here and we are busy and having fun! Hence the lack of blogging! This week was a family cookout on Sat., Monday the holiday, a day at the pool on Tuesday, swim lessons all week for both boys, teeth appointments for me, TKD for both boys, field trip with camp for D, baseball game and lots of fun!
So here is a little something since I've been gone awhile and have alot to catch up on. The boys had their swim graduation today after only 4 1/2 lessons! Mike took some video since I had to work. I couldn't believe my eyes on the video! Keep in mind neither boy could swim and wouldn't attempt to put their face in the water. They didn't even like water on their face in the tub or shower! She was an amazing instructor!!
Enjoy and I'll be back hopefully this weekend with more postings!
Go here to see the swimming:  http://www.southernfolk.blogspot.com/
