We decided to take the boys to the Botanical Gardens on Sat. The weather was beautiful! They have a really cool area called the big backyard with a giant treehouse play area. The boys loved it.
They got to walk in a giant birds nest.
The boys loved watching people feed the huge Koi in the pond.
We finished the day by taking the boys out to eat at Macaroni Grill. It was a very nice day.
So apparently there was a new editor available for my blog. I jumped right into it and didn't read all the info so this post is a test of how I could do without the instructions. I'm sure my next post will be better after thoroughly reading the instructions.
Mike went racing all day Sunday so I took the boys to the playground for a few hours. We came home for lunch and enjoyed the rest of the day in the yard playing. I was sitting in the chair catching a small cat nap outside and was awaken to D screaming. He had gotten dirt splashed up into his eyes. So we spent about 10 minutes trying to get all the dirt out of his eyes. He did pretty good letting me get the dirt out, but only after I was able to get him to calm down. He is quite dramatic at times. But we finally got the dirt out and headed back outside. Although the three of us are paying for our outside playing today. I think the boys have my wonderful allergies and we were sneezing all last night and stuffy this morning. I am going next week to get my treatment options from my allergy doctor. I had a new blood test done last week showing ALL the things I am allergic to. I think the dr. himself was pretty suprised. So I will see what other options he has besides allergy drops. I also plan to talk to him about the boys. B is currently on an inhaler until fall and D is just taking daily spoonfuls of honey right now. Believe it or not I think the honey is working for him. He is better than without the honey. I gave him Zyrtec awhile but he seems just fine without it and only the honey. But I want to see what the dr. thinks when I go back to see him. Maybe they need an allergy blood test? I don't know.
I also got to pull out a loose tooth this weekend. This is D's 3rd tooth to come out. He was eating a sandwich and it hurt him. When I looked in his mouth the tooth was pointing almost towards the back of his throat instead of striaght up. It was so loose I could wiggle and turn it all different directions. But I just couldn't get a good grip on the tiny tooth. I got the tweezers and after multiple attempts, I finally pulled the tooth out. D didn't even know I had pulled it out. It was funny. But the tooth fairy forgot to come! Oops! D came in my room the next morning saying the tooth fairy didn't leave anything! OH NO!! I convinced him to go back up while I was getting up and I rounded up some quarters to somehow get into his room. It worked out perfect that when I got up there he had to go to the bathroom to get a tissue. I quickly put the quarters next to the tooth fairy basket. "Look here they are! she just didn't put them in the basket" But then he opened the tooth holder and the tooth was still there! Ugh, she forgot to take it! After a short story that she probably wanted him to keep this one we were all good. whew! It was very sweet though that he decided to share $1 of his $2 dollars from the tooth fairy with his brother....so sweet!
Well that's about all for now, back to laundry before picking up the boys from school. B has a baseball game tonight so he's very excited about that. Toodles.
