Jump, jump, jump!

Fun, busy days. Saturday I got up and got my run in for the day. Whew..it was steamy at 8am but at least I got it done! Then I took the boys to a friends house to swim. A friend of mine was in town from STL and we went to a mutual friend's house to hang out and let all the kids swim. Wow, the boys are progressing everyday with their pool and swim abilities. By the time we left the pool that day both boys were jumping in from the side of the pool. They had never done this before, especially without someone there to catch them. The water was shallow enough to stand in so I guess it gave them confidence. Especially watching the two other girls do it, must of also gave them the confidence!

Flying D!!

Even B got in on the action!

Sunday I got up and worked in the yard before it got too steamy! I had alot of weeds to pull, bushes to trim and roses to cut back. Now I just need to replenish my mulch. But it got too hot and I was finished with that for the day. Mike went racing so the boys and I spent the day at the "Y" pool. They continued to want to jump in the pool with me there as support. I am so proud of them!
Today we went to the pool again! I figured we need to get in as much pool time as possible with school only about 1 week away! By the end of today D was going down the slide and landing in the water, coming up and swimming to the side ALL without my help! Wow!! He is also greatly improving on his doggie paddle!
:-) Bry was doing great also, jumping into the deep end and going under water with me catching him. He did attempt the slide for the 1st time today. He actually climbed all the way up, but when he got there he was scared and climbed back down. That's OK, I am so proud that he even went up there. Maybe next time he will actually slide down! But they were total jumping beans today at the pool. I think most of our time was spent in the deep end. They also had a few friends there from TKD so they were jumping in with them and racing on their kick boards. I just love watching them play in the pool!!
Tomorrow they are back to the daycare for their last 4 days there! Wow, I can't believe it. I am going to get either a large cake or two small ones for the whole staff as a goodbye from us. It's likely the boys will go back next summer for camp, but who knows what will happen by then.
Today after the pool I helped D finish his huge lego plane. He is really getting back into the legos lately. I think it's because they have tons of them in his camp classroom and he gets to sit and build with them. He was so proud of this plane today! It was mostly already done from building it with daddy many months ago, but we just finished it up today.
WEll that's all for now. I am sun tired....the sun has drained me and I'm ready for bed already! Whew...toodles!
