Some words

Well hello there! I'm back but without pics. I'm not at my home computer so I don't have pics available to upload. The summer has been really fun so far! The boys are enjoying their play days at home and I am defintetely enjoying sleeping in a little later!! I took the boys to the Y to swim earlier in the week and wow they are doing great! I need to get there with Mike so he can help me get them practicing to swim a farther distance. But, they aren't afraid to put their face in the water anymore! I am so excited about that! D even went down the slide at the Y with me at the bottom to catch him. That's amazing! I'm hoping to get him to go down by himself by the end of the summer. Then he'll be ready for our Disney cruise later in the summer and be able to go down the slides while we are on the boat! Awesome!
We have signed up for Netflix. So far I really like it. We've watched Obsessed, Mall Cop and the Tooth Fairy. I liked all of them. The hardest part is deciding what to watch since I'm so behind and out of the loop on movies! I don't even see the commercials for movies so I don't know what's out or what they are about. If you know anyone good ones, leave me a comment or drop me an email!
I got out yesterday morning and went for a run before work! That's amazing since I haven't ran in months! Shame on me! But hoping to get back in the groove! The late mornings will help. If I can get out early and get it done then I'd be good.
Baseball season is wrapping up. The boys have done so good! B only has one more game left. I do have some videos I need to get posted also! I'm so far behind, but they're coming! D has about 3 games left but last night got rained out. He also had a rain out earlier so I'm not sure if those will be made up or not. I'm signing them up for fall soccer this weekend. D loves soccer and all the running around. I'm going to sign B up too this time now that he is old enough. They both love to take the soccer ball to the other's baseball game and play with the soccer ball while the other plays baseball.
D is doing good in TKD. He has been to about 3 classes and is doing really well. It's obvious he has been out for awhile, but I know after more practicing he'll be right there with his younger brother :-)
Like I said B is going with his TKD school to watch karate kid tomorrow morning. D is kinda sad not to be going but he's more excited about his play date with his best friend from school. Last night his friend called him to talk. It was so cute to see his face light up that his friend was on the phone. The talked for a few minutes and it was adorable! He told his friend that he loves him more that karate kid and that's why he's coming to his house and not going to karate kid. Cute!! You could call this a milestone. This will be D's first play date with a friend. I am going to drop him off and go back later to get him. His parents are really nice and don't live far from us at all. My baby boy is growing up!! eekkk!! He also looks so grown up in his summer clothes. I mean, he's been in his school uniform mostly. So we went and got him some new summer clothes and he looks all grown up with his skater dude shorts and shirts....I have a pic to share of course.!
D came running into my bathroom yesterday morning telling me.."Mommy, Mommy....there's a pelican in our back yard and I think it has oil on it!!!"  ha ha....sad but cute. It was the big Herron type bird in our pond out back and he is dark grey. I guess he is hearing so much about the oil even at 6 yrs old!
B is my little comedian and I love him so much! He has so much personality and I love to hear him tell stories. They are so animated. It's hard to describe, but his version of things is hysterical! Still loving to sing, hum and even beat box. If I could only get him to let me take some video! Maybe one day!
They are both loving summer "camp" They are at the daycare for the last summer. Kinda sad, since we've been going there for 6 yrs! D has several fieldtrips this summer as part of his program. One fieldtrip is skating....he has never been! In fact I described it to him and then he's like...I don't know how! I know....that's why mommy will probably be there with you :-) Luckily it's on my day off!
Well that's some of my stories from recently! Unless things change I'll be adding lots of pics here in the morning! Happy weekend to all!

HHHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLOOOOO! i'M BACK!

Well i was going to be but......started uploading a bunch of pics and came back to finish the post and only 2 had uploaded and computer was frozen ugh!!!! Sorry, so now I'll try to get those up on Sat. morning. Daddy and B are going to Karate Kid with the TKD school and D is going for a play day with a friend from school. So I'll have a few free mommy hours to catch up on my blog posting.
Going out tomorrow night to a girls party. It's a party selling purses and tote bags and stuff. Should be fun. Toodles for now.

Summer is here!

The summer is here and we are busy and having fun! Hence the lack of blogging! This week was a family cookout on Sat., Monday the holiday, a day at the pool on Tuesday, swim lessons all week for both boys, teeth appointments for me, TKD for both boys, field trip with camp for D, baseball game and lots of fun!
So here is a little something since I've been gone awhile and have alot to catch up on. The boys had their swim graduation today after only 4 1/2 lessons! Mike took some video since I had to work. I couldn't believe my eyes on the video! Keep in mind neither boy could swim and wouldn't attempt to put their face in the water. They didn't even like water on their face in the tub or shower! She was an amazing instructor!!
Enjoy and I'll be back hopefully this weekend with more postings!
Go here to see the swimming:  http://www.southernfolk.blogspot.com/

well....

So I didnt' make it  back on here last night. Sorry. This morning is D's K graduation! Wow, can't believe it!! I have to go to work after and Mike will be home with the boys. Wish I could stay home and play too!
Tonight I'm going out for Mexican and drinks with some of the mom's from D's school. It's sorta like a last mom's night before summer starts. Most of them are stay at home mom's so they want a night out before summer! yippe! Should be lots of fun!
Well just a short note for now.....hope everyone has a great and safe holiday weekend!!

Alot of stuff....I think

The week has flown by, I can't believe it! The boys had baseballs games and did really well. Yesterday I had my girls night taste testing party. The lady was a complete dud! I hate to say it, but we hardly knew she was there. She didn't tell us anything about the products we just sampled them ourselves. She didn't tell us about any specials, or how to have your own party. Of course, who would of wanted to with her as the hostess. We still had a good time though eating and drinking. My friend Tiff got the 1st to arrive award. I just made it up a few hours before the party. Just some ribbon with two forks and spoons hanging on it, to represent the first hungry person to arrive! She was a great sport and wore it all night! We had a great time, kinda like we were at any special party, just hanging out. The lady was wierd....anyway..
Today Mike is gone racing and I took the boys to the Y to swim. I figured they need their practice before the swim lessons two weeks from now. I'm glad I did since B was scared and first but did better the longer we were there. We are home for a short break and then headed to a retirement celebration for a lady I worked with. I hope it's not outside, because the heat is scorching today!
Next week is D's last week of Kindergarten and I can hardly believe it!! He is getting a reward of going to build a bear after the end of the week. He told me the beginning of the month that he wanted to go there. I told him if he got all good reports the whole month we would go there. He has done excellent with all big happy faces except one day and it was still a smiling face so I'm happy about that. His graduation is on Thursday and it's going to be really neat. He has been practicing songs at home that they will sing. I'm looking forward to it, but sad that he is growing up so quickly!
B had a rough few weeks at school after the teachers switched again. Everytime the teachers change he acts up. But the last week he has done great and if he does great this whole week he gets a prize from Target. He was in for the build a bear but got too many bad reports so now I gave him the choice of what he wanted. He wants to pick a toy from Target if he's good, so I said OK.
I am looking forward to them being at the same place for the summer. I am also looking forward to some fun summer activities we can do on my off days. I have a feeling we'll be spending alot of the days at the Y pool. Sounds great to me!
I still have girls night out pics to post on here eventually and a few other generic ones.
I'm looking forward the holiday weekend ahead. My inlaws are coming into town and we're having a family cookout on Sat. I always love getting the family together for food and fun! I hope the weather is nice and not to hot so we can enjoy the outdoors!
Well almost time to head out the door. Toodles!

So good

B did such a good time at his testing last week! I am so proud of him. I even got a few pics of him sparring. I tried to upload a video but it won't let me :-(
Not sure why!

This is pretty close to the kind of smiles I get now for pictures! Isn't it so cute!!

My girls weekend to KC was simply FANTABULOUS!!!! Here is a little sneek peak picture. I will post more later. I have to head out for a four hour work meeting, yukko!!

The boys had a good time home with daddy. Only two (that I know of) little problems over the weekend.  #1 the boys mostly mutilated one of my beautiful rose bushes playing sword fighting. I guess the bush was the dragon?? Not sure what daddy was doing while it was happening. But he did get on to them and had them write me notes saying they were sorry. It was so cute! Then they even went out and cleaned up all the rose petals without him asking them to. That was great. Although, kinda wished they would of saved them for me, they would of looked nice in a bowl! hee hee
#2 D went to school yesterday without a snack. Daddy forgot to pack it :-(
But I have to say, those are pretty minor things so I'm so happy!! What a great hubby and daddy!! Well off now to the boring meeting, toodles! More pics later!

Just a short note

B did so good at his TKD testing tonight. He has now moved on to his orange/black belt, we are so proud of him. He truly enjoys it. I will have some pics to post after the weekend.
So.......I have my suitcase packed, my nails freshly painted and I am ready to go in the morning. I actually tried to pack lightly this time, since there will be luggage of six girls in the van tomorrow! I can't believe I fit it all in one bag and that includes four pair of shoes also. I just cant' seem to ever pack less than 4 pairs of shoes no matter what!! It's going to be so much fun and I'm so excited!
I have some snacks and goodies that I'm leaving at home for the boys while I'm gone (from mommy). They are invited to a waterslide birthday party on Sat. so I'm hoping the weather cooperates and Mike takes them.
Well better get to bed so I can get up early and get the boys to school and hit the road! ROAD TRIP!! whoo hoo! What a wonderful hubby I have for making it easy for me to go. The boys are going to have a great time with their daddy this weekend!! toodles!

A little fun

The weather was beautiful on Sunday for Mother's Day. Although, I started out the day having to go into work for a call back....yuk! But after that the rest of the day was great. The boys were very excited to give me a goody bag of gift items.  Later Mom came over to enjoy the weather and some games with the boys.

We planned for a great shish kabob dinner. Well they turned out more like charcoal kabobs. Mike kinda forgot to check on them and they got pretty crispy critter. There were still some parts we could eat and the corn and potatoes turned out good, so it wasn't a total loss. Comical though! :-) The boys have been wanting to make smores for about a month. We got out all the ingredients and went at it. Good thing we had country Mom here to help with the fire. Us city folk....we weren't doing too good getting the fire to flame up....I guess we wouldn't do well on survivor!

YUM! D was too busy eating to look up and pose for the pic!

I made several attempts for a mommy/boys pic and this is about the best I got! It matches their personalities that's for sure! I just LOVE my boys! I feel so blessed everyday that I have the opportunity to be a mom!
Thanks to all my moms out there also for all that you do!!!

Of course I did try to take this picture after the smores....each boy ate about 3 or 4 including chocolate which totally makes them run circles. I am probably lucky to have gotten this!! Gotta love it!!
Only two work days and then my girls weekend!! oh yeah!!
B has testing on Thursday for his next belt in TKD! He is very excited! I will have pics and maybe some video to share later. Toodles for now.

Two suprises

This has been a pretty good week. The boys have done really good at their baseball games. It's bring mommy to TKD month at B's TKD school. It's only been about 7 yrs since I've done it, but went the other night. It was alot of fun and the instructor found out where B gets his flexibility from. Ha! yes I still have lots of flexibility. D is wanting to start taking it again, so it might become a family thing. We'll just have to see, it's more of a time issue than anything else.
I decided to get creative with dinner this week. I have been dying to do Muffin Tin Monday forever! Inspired by JJ here. The boys loved it! But we did it on Tuesday because they both got in a little trouble at school on monday, so no fun dinner then. But....Tuesday...voila! Muffin tin tuesday dinner! The menu was mac n cheese, baked beans, and pork chop with ranch dressing to dip (of course) and a muffin to add to the theme! I'm such a corny mom i know!! who cares!

Then the next day the boys asked for a breakfast dinner. They said we haven't had one in awhile...so of course mommy to the rescue!! First started with pancakes cooking..........

And then........ it became pancake faces! Hot dog hair, oreo eyes, strawberry nose, and a mandarin orange mouth. Such a nutrituous dinner!! Carb, protein, fruit and sugar, what else do you need? Oh and a glass of milk to wash it down....yes they loved it!! Wish I could of eaten it too, but didn't...boo! I'm not the one with washboard abs like my boys!

Went to Bunco tonight and had a great time. It's been a little awkward the past few months because I only knew a few of the girls. But this time was a blast. I partly attribute it to the two skinny margaritas we stopped and had before we went! Yum! thought I'd try the new skinny margarita from Housewives of NYC Bethenny. It was sooo good. It only has about 50-60 calories. It doesn't taste alot like the regular to me though, I think because it doesn't have the mixer in it. But it was really good, I could definetely get it from now on and save some calories. Considering I didn't have alot to eat today (knowing we'd be snacking at bunco) and then worked out before I went, the two margaritas got me feeling pretty good. Glad I wasn't driving...and it made for a fun bunco night even though I didn't win any money....hee hee!

Only 8 days till girls weekend! whoo hoo! Yes Kelli I'm counting the days girlie!! I'm so excited!!
Toodles!

Wierdo!

So I was taking a picture of my newest purchase and my husband walks around the corner. I just started laughing and he gives me the "you're a wierdo" look. He asked what I was doing and I told him I was taking a picture of my new best friend. He said "you're not posting that on facebook are you???" Ha...no I'm not thank you. But he didn't ask anything else, when the truth is I was taking a picture to post on my blog..ha ha. I might be weird but this is awesome! I found this at Target yesterday. It's a clothes hamper with a handle and wheels! WOW! I love it!! Who would think you'd love a clothes basket, but it's so much easier than trying to carry an overstuffed laundry basket all around the house and up the stairs. Of course it won't wheel up the stairs, but once I get to the top....whew....i get to pull it!! Yippee! I know it's the simple things in life, isn't it!!

Anyone watching survivor?? Ugh!! I really wish they'd get rid of Russell, although it was good that they didn't vote him this time since he played the idol, but I still can't believe these people think he is really telling the truth ever!! I sure hope he goes soon!  Americal Idol...boo! I really liked Siobhan. It just has been very mediocre this year in my opinion.
We have a week full of baseball this week. Three games between the two boys. They really enjoy playing and it's so entertaining to watch. D's team is scary though. They are just old enough to kinda be able to play. They throw the ball pretty good, but the scary part is they throw it whether anyone is looking to catch it or not! There were a few close calls last game that someone almost got nailed by the ball because they weren't paying attention and the other kid threw it anyway. He has a fairly poor coach this year. The coach isn't very communicative to the kids and it doesn't really seem like he tries to coach them. I mean these kids are 6 and 7 yrs old. If they are running way across the field to get the ball from their own player he should be talking to them. I know they are kids and playing for fun, but they should be told the rules also.
Counting down the days to my girls out weekend!! whoo hoo...only 2 more weeks and six of us will be in Kansas city for the weekend to have fun and the hubby's will be home with the kids and chores! I am really looking forward to this fun weekend!! Girls just wanna have fun!! We are always taking care of everyone else, it's OK to treat ourselves once in awhile!
Well, almost time to go pick up the boys from school. Toodles

They weren't kidding

So the weather said lots of rain and that's what we got. Luckily we haven't had actual flooding at our house but closer in the city it's been really bad with cars under water and houses with 4 inches of rain inside of them. We have had rain almost all day long and too many tornado warnings to even keep count. It's been pretty scary and we've been in the closet with the boys multiple times today. There were some tornado's spotted not far from our house but luckily we didn't see one or get any damage from one. We were supposed to go to a couple's night out tonight but we had to cancel. It would of been fun with the good food and a band playing old music like Motley Crue, Def leppard, Poison and others. But...the weather has been too bad. We had a quiet time from about 6pm until now at 9pm but now the tornado warnings are starting to come in again..yuk! This started this morning at 430am and has been constant all day.
The boys are really enjoying Harry Potter. They have watched it in two parts so far and have one little part left before it's over. They even found stick toys around the house to make their own wands and B was casting spells...it was too funny. They did get scared in a few parts but overall are really enjoying it. I am so glad.
We also re-rented Wii Donkey Kong, D really loves playing it. He has unlocked several levels and different characters. We are going to look for the game at the used game store to see if we can find it. Mike did get super mario bros for Wii from the used game store. It's fun watching D play it. I played it myself for quite awhile last night. Wow, I remember playing that game forever and forever when I was ....uh hmmm. just a little younger....hee hee...on the nintendo!
Well hubby should be back soon with our take out Mexican to replace our dinner out. Boys are asleep and we get to try to watch a little tv among the tornado warnings and the weather radio going off about the watches, warnings, and flood warnings. I sure hope tonight doesn't bring many more storms...it is very unsettling to try to sleep knowing they might really pop up! It is supposed to rain till Monday so I guess I'll be trying to come up with some fun indoor stuff for the boys to do...hmmm. I better put my thinking cap on! Toodles.

Rain- no sunshine

It has been a pretty good week. But the weekend is supposed to be water logged. They are predicting 10 inches of rain...huh??? not sure about that but they are saying rain all weekend. yuk!
Planning to rid the house of tons, thousands of dust mites this weekend. yuk also! I have been reading up on it to help my allergies and you don't even want to know. But I'm going to do my best this weekend to help us all out and dust/wash and declutter the house of dust traps and get the beds covered with dust mite protection covers and brand new pillows with dust mite covers. These are among a few of the things in my plan. sounds like fun right?? NOT!!
Tonight is movie night and we are going to watch the very first Harry Potter movie with the boys. I am excited because I think they are really going to like it. Of course, we won't finish it tonight but we have the whole rainy weekend to finish it.
Can't believe it's only 4 weeks of school left and then I will have (after summer) a preKer and and a 1st grader....my oh my....I just can't believe it!!
Well time to get cuddled up to watch Harry...toodles!

Rain and sunshine

Our weekend started out kinda rough with some bad storms. It rained alot and we had a few tornado warnings, but luckily none of the tornados hit here. My heart goes out to the families that the tornado struck further south of us. Sunday the men played in a golf tourney so my friend and I took our boys to the zoo. The weather was really pretty most of the day. It did start to lightly rain on us right at the end but that was Ok.

The zoo has a new exhibit with wolves, elk, and bears. The boys really enjoyed watching the bears swim up close to the window wall. Those bears were pretty big and their claws were long....yikes!
Of course what is a zoo trip without an icecream treat!! Niether of the boys were actually able to eat the whole thing! I'm sure it won't be long before they are able to!

We had a great day at the zoo!
I had my follow up appointment at the allergy doctor. Ha! I knew I was allergic and I think they didn't believe me until they saw the results! I am HIGHLY allergic to many things!! When I say highly....the range would be 0- 0.25 and mine was 65!! That would be highly to say the least! Also there is also a certain overall factor they test your blood for and the range is 0-160 and mine was 308! Go figure! So I will start back on my allergy drops next week! I am excited to get back to being able to breathe! Shame on me that I stopped taking them a few months back, but I paid the price. But I am happy that I got a current test and that I will get probably a better dose of what I need. My last allergy test was from 2004. One thing I found interesting is that in the 04 test I was allergic to dogs and cats, not really high, but I was. On this test I am not allergic to dogs or cats. In 2004 we had two dogs and had them for several years. But we adopted them out in 2005. So not sure if not having them anymore has helped or if the drops helped but I'm happy that I don't have at least those allergies anymore! Just basically all the other stuff like dust, trees, grasses, flowers...ha everything that is outside and inside...lovely! But I will get some relief soon! the doctor also said to get a hypoallergenic mattress cover and pillow covers to help also. So I will be out shopping for those today. And by the way for any other allergy people. You must wash your sheets in hot water, the warm water will not kill the dust mites. I tell everyone I talk to that seems to have allergy problems that they need to go get tested! The over the counter meds only treat symptoms they don't treat the actual problem, therefore you don't get true relief!
Going on Thursday morning back to my orthodontist to complain and demand my way! As I think I already said, two of my three teeth are coming in very well. They are both almost all the way in. The last one is being very stubborn and won't budge! It is really start to pull my other teeth around it down instead of pulling that one up! I've had enough and I don't want them pulled any lower. I was supposed to go back next Tuesday but I called to go in this week. I want to tell him that I'm done trying to pull that up with the problem that the others are being pulled down. Now they have to be pulled back up! ugh! So I think I might resort to just having a fake one put there. Not sure....but I want him to know how I feel. He is really nice but will probably try to talk me out of it. But I've pretty much made up my mind. I mean really this has been already a 2 yr process in July!!! Can you believe it! And I had pretty much perfect teeth before this except for this slight dilemma. Things have worked out pretty well up to this point, but my patience has gone.....So he'll be happy to see me as I walk in the office saying "take it off! I want these off and fix my teeth!" hee hee! We'll see what happens!
Just wanted to post a happy moment within the sad ones. My dad has been diagnosed with tonsil cancer. He had a test done and we got the results that is has not spread anywhere else! That is the best news we have heard in weeks!!! We are so thankful! He is going to have a rough next 7-14 weeks but the prognosis is that he will be cured after this! We will be right by his side to help him through these rough times, but then he'll have many fun years ahead to watch my boys grow up! Love you Dad!
Well time to work on some of my to do list for today. Groceries, laundry, watching my tivo'd shows, the usual stuff. Both boys have baseball games tonight, so we have a double header! Toodles for now.

More stuff

Well I made it through the week! B did good at his baseball games. We had rough storms here so we skipped the baseball pics today. I'm sure I will take plenty myself though! Frustrated with Idol! Not a good season at all! Also frustrated with Survivor! Those people need brains! Russell better not win, is all I have to say!
I have a small black eye. Just on the top though. Wrestling in the bed with B= a 4 yr old bony knee + a mommy's eyebrow area = Pain, bruising, and slight swelling and some soreness. It could of been worse so I'm not worried. Considering the boys are 4 and 6 and this is practically my first injury, I think I'm doing pretty good! :-)
Well just wanted to add a short post. Headed to the grocery store and probably to pick up a few movies and Wii game rentals for this rainy weather. I'll try to get back this weekend with some more pics.

whew!

At least it's hump day! 1/2 way to Friday and the weekend! thank goodness!!

I think I finally found it!

We decided to take the boys to the Botanical Gardens on Sat. The weather was beautiful! They have a really cool area called the big backyard with a giant treehouse play area. The boys loved it.
They got to walk in a giant birds nest.

And sit on the back of a dog with a large doghouse.

The boys loved watching people feed the huge Koi in the pond.

We finished the day by taking the boys out to eat at Macaroni Grill. It was a very nice day.
So apparently there was a new editor available for my blog. I jumped right into it and didn't read all the info so this post is a test of how I could do without the instructions. I'm sure my next post will be better after thoroughly reading the instructions.
Mike went racing all day Sunday so I took the boys to the playground for a few hours. We came home for lunch and enjoyed the rest of the day in the yard playing. I was sitting in the chair catching a small cat nap outside and was awaken to D screaming. He had gotten dirt splashed up into his eyes. So we spent about 10 minutes trying to get all the dirt out of his eyes. He did pretty good letting me get the dirt out, but only after I was able to get him to calm down. He is quite dramatic at times. But we finally got the dirt out and headed back outside. Although the three of us are paying for our outside playing today. I think the boys have my wonderful allergies and we were sneezing all last night and stuffy this morning. I am going next week to get my treatment options from my allergy doctor. I had a new blood test done last week showing ALL the things I am allergic to. I think the dr. himself was pretty suprised. So I will see what other options he has besides allergy drops. I also plan to talk to him about the boys. B is currently on an inhaler until fall and D is just taking daily spoonfuls of honey right now. Believe it or not I think the honey is working for him. He is better than without the honey. I gave him Zyrtec awhile but he seems just fine without it and only the honey. But I want to see what the dr. thinks when I go back to see him. Maybe they need an allergy blood test? I don't know.
I also got to pull out a loose tooth this weekend. This is D's 3rd tooth to come out. He was eating a sandwich and it hurt him. When I looked in his mouth the tooth was pointing almost towards the back of his throat instead of striaght up. It was so loose I could wiggle and turn it all different directions. But I just couldn't get a good grip on the tiny tooth. I got the tweezers and after multiple attempts, I finally pulled the tooth out. D didn't even know I had pulled it out. It was funny. But the tooth fairy forgot to come! Oops! D came in my room the next morning saying the tooth fairy didn't leave anything! OH NO!! I convinced him to go back up while I was getting up and I rounded up some quarters to somehow get into his room. It worked out perfect that when I got up there he had to go to the bathroom to get a tissue. I quickly put the quarters next to the tooth fairy basket. "Look here they are! she just didn't put them in the basket" But then he opened the tooth holder and the tooth was still there! Ugh, she forgot to take it! After a short story that she probably wanted him to keep this one we were all good. whew! It was very sweet though that he decided to share $1 of his $2 dollars from the tooth fairy with his brother....so sweet!
Well that's about all for now, back to laundry before picking up the boys from school. B has a baseball game tonight so he's very excited about that. Toodles.

Another attempt

Ok so I'm hoping whatever the layout problem was is now fixed. Here are a few pics of my boys playing in their first games. They both got hits from pitches and I was such a proud mommy! B is playing for the Angels. My little angel! :-)

I don't think the layout problem is fixed! ugh!! I couldn't get it to let me type between the pics. This is frustrating because I didn't change anything in the formatting. Oh well I got to at least share them with you.
We had a wonderful time at the Botanical Gardens yesterday. The weather was wonderful and then we enjoyed a great dinner out with the boys. They always enjoy eating out.
Well better go get breakfast going for my hungry boys!

Not a fun ending week

The boys had games this week which were alot of fun. I have some pics to share but it will be later this weekend. The week ended pretty bad with a double dose of bad news! So lots of prayers are needed!! It's going to be a tough road ahead but I know things will work out for the best, I just know it!
Planning to get away from the house today and take the boys to the Botanical Gardens. The are supposed to have a really nice kids area. The weather is great for it today.
Well this is a short post but just wanted to give a little update. I hope to be back later with some pics. Toodles.

Gonna try again

Well, I haven't figured out the layout problem so I'm going to take the easy route. You can see our Easter and Baptism pictures right here. The adorable chicks and bunnies are courtesy ideas from one of my fav sites www.bakerella.com. We had a wonderful Easter weekend with all the family. B and my neice did pretty well at the Baptism also. They both cried of course but we made it through. They enjoyed the multiple egg hunts at home too with such wonderful weather.
We have been doing the usual family stuff. Baseball practice, school, work, taekwondo, a fever here and there and my sinuses are driving me up the wall! I go on Monday to a new Dr. and I'm hoping for the best treatment....allergy shots! I'm hoping for some relief in 1 1/2 days...whoo hoo! The weather and pollen has really been getting to B also. He had two terrible nose bleeds last night. Today at his baseball practice he had another one and we had to leave because I didn't think it was going to stop. Luckily the bleeding stopped, but I think it's time for another trip to the dr. for him also, poor thing.
Tonight is the annual Spring Gala dance/Silent Auction at D's school. I am very excited. Last year I won a wonderful coffee basket if you remember. They have some really cool door prizes and a split the pot raffle I hope to win! Mom is going as my partner this year. Mike was going to be gone with the boys out of town today but changed plans and is getting ready for an RC car race tomorrow. I might just bid on a few things tonight without him there...hee hee! Hoping my sinuses stay in check so I can have a drink or two and maybe a few jello shots! :-) Here is the great time we had last year! Well gotta run and start to get freshened up for the night ahead! Toodles!
